V's Father Opens Up For The First Time About His Absence In V’s Early Years, Leaving ARMY In Tears

Throughout 13 years of BTS’s career, the role of the members’ parents and families cannot be overlooked in their success. However, the truth is that not every member received immediate approval from their parents to pursue an idol career. RM, SUGA, and j-hope had to spend a long time convincing their families by proving their perseverance and dedication to their pαѕѕion.

In contrast, V is considered one of the luckiest members, as he received support from his family from the very beginning. Notably, it was not his parents but his grandmother who encouraged him to pursue an idol career after learning that he had pαѕѕed the audition. She was even the one who informed his parents that he had been accepted by an entertainment company.

When it comes to V’s parents during his childhood, many people have long known that he did not grow up directly in his parents’ care. Instead, he was raised by his grandparents in his hometown of Daegu, together with his younger siblings. His close relationship with his grandparents led him to regard them as his second parents.

In a later interview with a local newspaper, V’s parents shared the reason why their family did not live together in the past. Hearing this explanation made fans understand even more deeply the strong family bond within his family.

According to the interview, V’s mother once held an executive position at a bank in Daegu, while his father ran a small business and was constantly busy with work. Because of the nature of their jobs, they did not have much time to stay home with their children, so the best solution was to let V and his two siblings be raised by their grandparents. In return, they worked tirelessly to provide a better life for their children, especially financially.

V’s parents also revealed that their children were always obe∂ιєnt to both their parents and grandparents because they understood that their parents had to work to support the family. Thanks to their grandparents—who took care of their daily needs, from taking them to school to preparing meals—V and his siblings grew up healthy, kind, and intelligent.

Although his parents could not always be by his side, they still found ways to nurture and support his dreams. V once shared that he received a great deal of help from his parents during his trainee days. On an occasion, they traveled for 12 hours just to see him for 30 minutes, bringing plenty of bread and banana milk to share with the other members. His mother even bought him an expensive jacket at the time, despite their modest circumstances, simply because she did not want him to be looked down upon by trainees from the city.

Moreover, even though he did not spend much of his childhood living with his parents, they still had a positive influence on his personality and career in many ways. In numerous interviews, the idol has expressed that his father is his role model and has openly shown deep affection for both of his parents.

During BTS’s appearance on You Quiz on the Block, he once said: “I look like my father a lot and I want to have his personality as well. My dream is my dad.” He also shared: “When trainee life became too much, I called my dad in tears and said that I wanted to give up. My dad replied, ‘If it’s too hard, you can quit. There are lots of other jobs.’”

In particular, there is one piece of advice from his father that V has always kept close to his heart as a guiding principle: “The only thing left is family.”

Witnessing the deep affection among V’s family members, fans could not help but feel deeply moved, expressing:

- Taehyung's parents nor him don't need to brag about what they have or how rich and fine they're. They're supporting their son in the right way and keep their privacy SAFE at the same time. Whenever taehyung mention his parents it's basically to show his gratitude fr them and whenever we hear about his parents it's always about SUPPORT

- My respect to Taehyung's parents

- Woah this is new info for me. No wonder.. I mean poor family and saxophone clαѕѕ doesn't click muchFamily vacation packages

- He was not rich but definitely not poor either It explains the confidence and pampered look despite being provincial

- He literally had taken saxophone clαѕѕes when he was a kid if that's not a sign. Smh

- He didn't stay for a while. Taehyung himself said he was raised by his grandmother for 14 years and also the story about the expensive red coat when he entered the dorms. I doubt his mom was an executive, tbh. They were probably an average middle clαѕѕ family.

- Taehyung is the most significant person. like his parents.

- taehyung is a good person, has lovely parents, and that's more than most have. stay happy and healthy taehyungie <3
