Following their spectacular ARIRANG world tour, BTS will head to Las Vegas to attend the iHeartRadio Music Festival 2026 on September 18-19 at T-Mobile Arena, one of the largest indoor arenas in Las Vegas, with a capacity of around 21,000 fans. This is also the second major music awards event in the U.S. that BTS will attend since their military discharge, so expectations among fans are incredibly high.
BTS will headline an impressive lineup featuring Cardi B, Snoop Dogg, Muse, Weezer, Zara Larsson, Benson Boone, Kenny Chesney, Major Lazer, Lainey Wilson, and many other artists. With performers from a wide range of genres, including pop, hip-hop, country, rock, and dance, the two-night festival promises to be a spectacular musical celebration — and BTS will bring their global superstar power to the heart of Las Vegas.

As the countdown begins, fans are keeping an even closer eye on every update from the group on social media. It seems BTS is also giving ARMY what they want by recently dropping a small hint, making the atmosphere ahead of the big event even more exciting!
Specifically, on September 15, the official @bts.bigнιтofficial account posted a new photo of the seven members in the practice room, along with the hashtag #iHeartFestival. The photo offered a glimpse into BTS’ preparations for their highly anticipated performance at the upcoming iHeartRadio Music Festival 2026.
What caught particular attention was the members’ positioning in the photo. Based on their formation and the way BTS arranged themselves on stage, fans quickly speculated that the group will most likely perform “MIC Drop” at the event.

“MIC Drop” has long been one of BTS’ standout performance songs, featuring both savage lyrics and choreography. More importantly, it has been a long time since they brought the song back to an awards show, making fans even more excited. On social media, discussions among fans surrounding the possibility have been incredibly lively. One fan wrote: “Well, after all the things antis have pulled, it would be amazing to see BTS throw ‘Mic Drop’ in their faces and take the trophy home.”
Others quickly expressed their agreement as well: "The backs of seven men should not have this much power over me ", "My heart is beating fast...Let's go Mic Drop", "Let Mic Drop start the show", "last time they performed mic drop at iheartradio festival was 7 years ago in 2019", "Mic Drop is such a national anthem, honestly a track that could be performed every single year", "THEY’RE REHEARSING MIC DROP. in a matter of days we'll be seeing the kings once again making history, it's coming",...
Meanwhile, iHeartRadio executives also highlighted the special appeal of this year’s festival. In a joint statement, Chief Programming Officer Tom Poleman and President of Entertainment Enterprises John Sykes proudly said that the event brings together the biggest artists across a wide range of genres and promised that it would not disappoint fans.
More specifically, the statement said: “The iHeartRadio Music Festival is all about bringing together the biggest artists across every genre for two unforgettable nights, and this year’s lineup truly reflects the incredible diversity of music today. From global superstars to fan-favorite icons, we’re excited to once again deliver an unmatched live and streaming experience that reaches millions of fans everywhere.”
