Jungkook Reveals He’s Been A Huge Fan Of BIGBANG Since Childhood And Names His Bias

BIGBANG and BTS are two iconic boy groups representing two generations of K-pop, and it’s almost impossible for any K-pop fan not to know them. Although the fandoms of the two groups may have had significant conflicts in the past, the actual senior-junior relationship between the members themselves has always been genuinely good and even quite close.

The υиєχρє¢тє∂ friendship between BTS and BIGBANG that stirred up online buzz was Jimin and Taeyang’s collaboration on the song “VIBE” earlier this year. Later, the BIGBANG senior also appeared on SUGA’s variety show Suchwita, further strengthening the bond between the two groups. Not only that, RM was previously spotted attending a private gathering where G-Dragon was also present, and Taeyang even attended j-hope’s listening party when he released his solo album.

Beyond respecting each other as colleagues, friends, seniors, and juniors, the BTS members have never hesitated to show that they are genuine BIGBANG fans. Among them, Jungkook is perhaps the clearest example, as he has openly expressed his love for BIGBANG’s music ever since his debut days. He became well known for his covers of “If You” on The King of Mask Singer, and there was even a time when he casually sang “Eyes, Nose, Lips” together with Jimin.

Jungkook even openly declared himself a hardcore fan of the group in front of millions of viewers during a Weverse Live not too long ago. Specifically, he shared: "Ah, actually, really, those ARMYs who have known me since I was young would know, but I was really, really a huge fan of BIGBANG, like a ∂ιє-hard fan. So, I’m really, really happy that they made a comeback... When "Power" and "Home Sweet Home" came out, I tried singing along and definitely. I got goosebumps."

Afterward, he also covered clαѕѕic BIGBANG нιтs such as “Niliria” and “Who You?” and recalled: "For guys my age, it was a given that you had to do impressions of Big Bang’s songs at karaoke. It was like an unspoken rule."

Most recently, when CORTIS humorously covered BIGBANG’s 2008 нιт “Haru Haru,” Jungkook enthusiastically left a comment under the Instagram video saying: “You should’ve come out exactly like senior Park Myung Soo (Parody MV Haru Haru BIGBANG)”.

At this point, there is really no doubt that Jungkook is a true VIP himself. At the same time, this has also made fans curious about who his bias in BIGBANG might be, since most fans naturally tend to favor one or a few members slightly more than the others. And it turns out that he really does have one.

When some fans commented that Jungkook’s style resembled G-Dragon’s, he once gave an explanation that revealed just how much he admired the senior idol: “Do you guys know this? I’m not disrespecting him, there no way, I’m impersonate G-Dragon because it’s funny. I’m sorry, I used to impersonate him everyday, ever since I was in school. I’m a fan of him too. I’m impersonating because it's fun so please don't say much.” Combined with the fact that Jungkook has repeatedly chosen to cover G-Dragon’s songs, fans are convinced that his bias must be BIGBANG’s leader himself.

As Jungkook continues to show that he simply cannot hide his love as a genuine BIGBANG fan, fans find it both amusing and incredibly relatable:

- I discover this child when he was a rookie because he keeps on singing BIGBANG songs before.
