Most fans know that the primary social media platform BTS actively uses is Instagram, but 2025 and 2026 can be seen as the period when the group expanded strongly into TikTok. j-hope was the first member to create a TikTok account, using it to promote his solo projects and upload impressive dance videos. Following him, Jungkook also joined the platform, actively participating in dance challenges of trending songs he enjoys and showing support for his friends’ new releases.
Most recently, V also decided to join the TikTok community with the ID @tete_kimv, immediately causing a social media frenzy with his two latest videos. In particular, his first video dancing to “Bunny Girl Hoodtrap” by Bxndz surpαѕѕed 1 million views just 25 minutes after being posted. The number quickly climbed to 10 million views within 5 hours and reached 20 million views along with 6.73 million likes in just 12 hours.

Interestingly, following V’s arrival, some fans began circulating news that SUGA might also have a personal TikTok account on this day!
Specifically, the rumor originated from an account displaying the name “Agustd” — one of his main stage names. The account also shared a photo of a black cat that looks quite similar to SUGA’s 3-year-old pet cat, Seoltang, further fueling speculation that it could be his undisclosed account. Just a few hours after the rumor spread on the 24th, the account had already attracted nearly 20,000 followers and has now surpαѕѕed 100,000 followers.

However, some fans have pointed out suspicious details that cast doubt on the account’s authenticity. One user noted that even if SUGA created a new account, TikTok would likely verify it with a blue checkmark — just as it did with j-hope’s account when it had only around 4,500 followers at the time. The same applies to Jungkook and V.
On the other hand, if it were truly SUGA’s new social media account, the other BTS members would immediately follow him, and vice versa. For example, as soon as V created his new account—even before receiving TikTok verification—j-hope and Jungkook had already added him to their following list.

Another fan pointed out that the cat photo shared on the questionable account was not actually Seoltang, but rather an image taken from the internet. Meanwhile, by using a third-party application to check the account, fans also discovered that it originated from Colombia, not South кσяєα, proving that it is merely a fan account — or even an impersonation account.

This is not the first time ARMYs have encountered such situations on social media. On Instagram, there are frequently numerous impersonation accounts with usernames closely resembling those of BTS members. Previously, a fake account with the ID “jmofbts1” was mistaken for Jimin, causing a stir within the fandom. This has led fans to worry that such impersonation accounts may be created with malicious intent.
At this point, fans are calling on others to stop spreading rumors and to avoid sharing unverified information, in order to prevent bad actors from taking advantage of fans’ trust. One fan stated: "Guys stop following them its NOT Yoongi. Some clout-chasers are revealing themselves—be careful."
Others also shared similar views:
- Please stop spreading unverified information, this is exactly how fake accounts gain attention
- This clearly looks like an impersonation account with bad intentions, be careful everyone
- I don’t understand why some ARMYs believe this so easily without checking first
- That cat photo is literally from the internet… it’s obviously not Seoltang. This person actually has bad intentions
- Whoever runs this account is clearly trying to mislead people into thinking it’s SUGA. Let’s be real friends this screams fakeee and scammer
- If it were really him, the members would’ve followed already—this doesn’t make sense
- Don’t give clout to fake accounts, you’re just helping them grow. SUGA wil not create a Tiktok account like this
