Dalgorang is no stranger to the ARMY community. She is an illustrator specializing in animation, known for her cute and emotional art style, and has been part of the fandom for many years. Her works are not only entertaining but also convey warmth, comfort, and her love for BTS. In particular, during the period when the members were carrying out their mandatory military service, dalgorang’s illustrations became a source of comfort and emotional support for many ARMYs.

However, after receiving even more attention following Jungkook’s latest comment, the ARMY artist also found herself facing some serious and unwanted trouble. She began receiving numerous attacking comments from some solo fans of the members, who accused her of favoring one member over another. Jungkook was even dragged into the controversy, with some people criticizing him for reposting this particular artwork instead of another one, despite the fact that the idol has interacted with many of her drawings over the years.
As the attacks grew increasingly intense, dalgorang finally spoke out through a statement addressed to ARMYs and closed her comment section. At the beginning of the statement, she explained that she was posting to clarify a few things and asked for understanding if the Google translation sounded unnatural. The artist stated: “I respect the individual tastes that ARMYs enjoy. I also conduct my fan activities based on my own standards. I ask for your understanding.” She therefore also asked everyone to respect each other’s personal spaces rather than imposing their own preferences on others.
Dalgorang specifically mentioned the ARMYs who continue to love and cherish her artwork for what it is. To her, those people and BTS are “incredibly precious.” She openly asked people to stop making her and the people she loves uncomfortable through direct comments, by scrutinizing their personal preferences regarding the BTS members she loves, or by rudely crossing the line.
The artist also explained that the reason she engages in fandom activities is to share how wonderful BTS are while connecting with people who share the same love for the group. “If you do not like this attitude of mine, I recommend unfollowing, as the decision to accept it is up to you,” she stated. Dalgorang revealed that she later moved to Instagram so she could freely engage in her own fan activities. After Jungkook took notice of her artwork, her follower count increased several times over within just a few days. However, she stressed that she would not mind if the number eventually returned to what it was before. “The value I hold most important is not the number of followers, but the precious people who love and cherish my drawings,” she shared.
At the end of her statement, the artist thanked the ARMYs who had continuously left messages of support, allowing her artwork to reach Jungkook. She also expressed her belief that Jungkook’s reply was not meant only for her, but was also a response to all ARMYs who love BTS with the same sincere heart that she does.
