Jimin Now Holds Massive Real Estate Profits From His 2018 Investment

Jimin recently captivated fans around the world after sharing a series of photos on social media, capturing moments from the ongoing World Tour as well as glimpses of his everyday life during his schedule.

The photos showed Jimin on stage holding a microphone with his naturally long hair, as well as a shot of him from behind with his hair tied up as he blew kisses to fans who came to the concert. He also shared a moment of himself decorating a keyring with a pen, along with a side profile shot of him wearing a wнιтe sleeveless shirt and jeans.

Jimin also posted a photo from his visit to Huntsman & Sons, the tailor shop featured in the filming of the movie Kingsman. In the photo, Jimin posed next to the Orange Dinner Jacket, one of the iconic outfits in the "Kingsman Room," giving fans a glimpse into his everyday life during his World Tour schedule.

While Jimin continues to shine as an idol, he has also recently drawn significant attention as a successful investor. A real estate investment the idol made in 2018 has reportedly shown remarkable profit potential as the property enters a major redevelopment phase!

According to the real estate industry on the 9th, Jimin purchased a 140㎡ apartment in Zones 1, 2 and 4 of Banpo Jugong 1 in November 2018 for approximately 4.08 billion won. With its old-fashioned appearance, Banpo Jugong 1 was an aging apartment complex originally built in 1973. At the time Jimin purchased the property, the complex had already deteriorated considerably, and its investment value was not considered particularly high, leading him to receive some negative comments.

Eight years later, today, Jimin has completely turned the tables, showing what foresight and a smart investment strategy can look like!

The complex is now part of a major redevelopment project involving one of the most notable aging apartment complexes in the area. Hyundai E&C is in charge of the construction, and Banpo Jugong is expected to be reborn as "The H Clαѕѕic" — a mega-scale complex consisting of 50 buildings, ranging from five basement levels to 35 above-ground floors, with a total of 5,002 apartments. As expectations for the redevelopment continue to grow, the market value of the 140㎡ apartment Jimin purchased in 2018 has also been soaring.

According to the market, a 140㎡ unit here was traded for 6.8 billion won in March 2023, while a 104㎡ unit was traded for 4.7 billion won in April of the same year. Meanwhile, as the expected market launch in November this year draws closer, the price difference is projected to increase by another 3–4 billion won. If these predictions become reality, Jimin's initial investment of approximately 4.08 billion won could rise to more than 10 billion won, equivalent to at least 2.5 times the original purchase price. Notably, because Jimin purchased the property based on the value of the land and its future redevelopment rights, his investment could potentially be worth even more, generating a capital gain of three to four times his original investment.

Jimin's smart move lies in the fact that he did not choose to start with a luxury apartment, but instead considered the property's development potential. Although Banpo Jugong was an old apartment complex in 2018, it was located in an area home to some of the most expensive apartments in Seoul. In particular, neighboring Raemian One Bailey and Acro River Park are among the "top-tier" complexes leading apartment prices in Seoul.

One Bailey ushered in an era of 200 million won per pyeong ($4,000 per square foot) when an 84㎡ unit, considered the standard "national" apartment size in кσяєα, was traded for 7.2 billion won in July last year. A 234㎡ unit (95 pyeong) was also traded for 16.5 billion won early last year. As a result, the redeveloped Banpo Jugong — The H Clαѕѕic — is being touted by кσяєαn media as a "future top-tier" project, with a strong possibility of taking over the baton from One Bailey, as the project surpαѕѕes its predecessors in both scale and location.

In the future, The H Clαѕѕic will feature an unprecedented range of hotel-style amenities, including an opera house, ice rink, Lego Land-themed facilities, a sky lounge and swimming pool, all set along the highly coveted Han River waterfront. The complex will also offer excellent transportation connections through major roads and subway lines (Lines 4 and 9), providing easy access to Yeouido, Yongsan and Gangnam. At the same time, residents will enjoy the green surroundings of Seorae Island, prestigious schools such as Banpo and Sehwa, as well as premium commercial and medical infrastructure, including Shinsegae Gangnam and Seoul St. Mary's Hospital.

From an old apartment purchased for approximately 4.08 billion won in 2018, Jimin's investment now has the potential to become one of his most profitable real estate deals. Fans cannot help but marvel at his impressive financial investment sкιℓℓs, proudly saying: "The return on his initial investment will be insane. So smart", "How smart his long-term investment was", "Jimin is very smart and knew exactly how to invest his money well", "It’s not from today that we see he’s super smart; it was a really αωєsome investment", "Kpoppies made fun of him for buying a building they thought as "dilapidated" and now", "What I said, he's a clever man",...
