BTS are clearly among the top stars in the industry today, so it’s no surprise that they receive immense admiration and respect from other idols. In particular, TXT and CORTIS are BTS’s direct juniors under the same label, BigHit Music, making it almost inevitable that they are also big fans of the group.
The younger idols have never hidden their strong affection for their seniors. During BTS’s concerts in Goyang in early April, both TXT and CORTIS were spotted enthusiastically attending and cheering wholeheartedly from the au∂ιєnce.
In particular, CORTIS’s leader, Martin, has repeatedly declared himself a hardcore fan of BTS. He shared that his musical dream began with their performances: “As a fan who grew up watching BTS's performances since he was a child, the first time I saw their concerts was at Jamsil Stadium. While watching the stage at that time, I first dreamed of 'I want to be on that stage, too.'"
Recently, on the show “CORTIS: The Puppy Interview” on the YouTube channel BuzzFeed Celeb, CORTIS members once again had the chance to talk about their relationship with BTS. When asked about their first impression of meeting their seniors, the members couldn’t hide their emotions. James described it as: “It’s always hard to put into words, really big sunbaenim.”
Meanwhile, Juhoon said: “They’re like living legends or soмєтнing,” while Martin added: “They’re really nice people too.” Juhoon further emphasized that meeting BTS in person didn’t feel intimidating at all: “When we like kind of meet in face to face, they donʼt feel like crazy, like celebrity, but older brothers. They’re very kind to us.”

Beyond being a source of inspiration, BTS directly helped CORTIS during their early days. The members specifically mentioned two names: Jin and j-hope.
Keonho recalled a memorable moment with Jin: “Jin sunbaenim, as soon as he met us, he was like, ‘Come here, come here, let’s get a selfie!’” Jin’s friendliness and initiative helped the rookies quickly feel at ease in their new environment.
Meanwhile, James described j-hope as a true mentor: “Before we debut, we got to show our like dance practice videos to j-hope sunbaenim, he literally gave us a lot of advice of like how to perform and Martin trying to match our level like because of his height and stuff”. Martin also gave his thanks: “Shoutout to j-hope sunbaenim.”

These sincere stories from CORTIS paint a warm picture of the relationship between the two groups. They also highlight two complementary aspects of BTS’s guidance: Jin’s thoughtful and approachable nature, using humor and warmth to break down barriers for rookies, and j-hope’s dedication, offering valuable professional advice to help juniors prepare for their debut.
In addition, CORTIS members agreed that all BTS members “genuinely care about us” and “gave us a lot of advice.”
Previously, at their debut showcase, Martin shared a memorable piece of advice from BTS: to treat the people you work with kindly. He said, “BTS gave us the advice to do well by the people that you’re working with, the staff. And I feel like that’s all that matters. To нιт a long run, you’ve got to be good to the people around you. You’ve got to show love.”
Juhoon also mentioned: “Another piece of advice BTS gave us is that a lot of people may think it’s the end once you debut. But actually, the debut is just the beginning, so there’s no need to be perfect. Show improvement and keep evolving as you go. That’s been helping me a lot for where we are right now in this particular moment in time when I’m just about to debut.”

The way BTS treats CORTIS also recalls what they once did for TXT. Leader Soobin shared that Jin would always greet them politely and even apologize when trainees had to give up their practice room for BTS. After the debut lineup was finalized, Jin expressed his wish to take TXT out for a meal, and when schedules didn’t align, he sent them pizza along with a heartfelt message to encourage them before their debut.
From TXT to CORTIS, both groups have received significant guidance from BTS, further solidifying the group’s status as “living legends.” While netizens admire how BTS supports their juniors, ARMYs continue to take pride in the character and kindness of their idols: "Such a lovely story! You can really feel how kind the seniors are. Getting direct advice from them is such a luxury—I'm so jealous!", "j-hope's reputation as dance captain is definitely not confined in the group. Even junior team CORTIS made sure to get feedback from him", "j-hope has always been been supportive of CORTIS and has done 2 dance challenges already to show his support. All BTS too, for both TXT and CORTIS", "bts has never changed they are still the kindest seniors to their juniors they are always good people and good artist at the same time im so glad cortis have a close bond with them", "Bts truly are really nice people not a single soul that met them have anything bad to say about them",...
