Jungkook Identifies The Big Brother Who Treats Him With The Most Gentleness In BTS

Recently, in a one-on-one interview between Jungkook and Rolling Stone, veteran journalist Brian Hiatt brought up the case of George Harrison—the youngest member of the legendary band The Beatles—who struggled with always being treated as “the youngest” even as he grew older. Brian wondered whether BTS’s youngest member, Jungkook, felt the same way.

The Golden Maknae immediately denied it with a smile: “No, I love being the youngest.” He firmly added that he has always enjoyed this role: “I’ve always felt very comfortable feeling like the youngest. That’s how I feel now”.

And one of the core reasons Jungkook enjoys being the youngest is likely the care he receives from the other six BTS members. He once shared in another interview: “I think there certainly was a special privilege for being the youngest [member] and I had a lot of help in ways that I may or may not know. And the members are such nice people".

Jungkook has also repeatedly and openly acknowledged that all the members played a role in raising him since he was 15. He has been deeply influenced by the six of them throughout his growth, stating: “I think I took a lot of great things from them. I got so much help from all six of them—it allowed me to grow to where I am today.”

Clearly, each older member holds a unique and irreplaceable place in Jungkook’s heart. That is also why choosing just one among them has never been an easy task for the Golden Maknae. However, if he had to name one BTS member who has never once raised their voice at him, Jungkook would choose SUGA.

Specifically, Jungkook revealed that SUGA is the only member who has never scolded him over the past 15 years, since he first moved into the BTS dorm. The Golden Maknae even confidently stated, “SUGA-hyung will never scold me.”

In a live broadcast a long time ago, Jungkook once shared that he had asked SUGA to teach him how to play the piano but was turned down. The reason was simple—SUGA didn’t want to end up scolding Jungkook if he made mistakes during practice. Scolding Jungkook seems to be soмєтнing that simply doesn’t exist in SUGA’s “tsundere” dictionary.

Similarly, at a fan signing event, when asked whether he had ever scolded the members, SUGA admitted that he had done so with others—but never with Jungkook. He further explained why he always keeps in mind that he should never raise his voice at the youngest: "Because doing so to a child is inappropriate".

SUGA has witnessed Jungkook’s growth firsthand and perhaps recognizes that the youngest member did not have an easy childhood. While many other children were being cared for and driven around by their parents, enjoying the simple joys of youth, 15-year-old Jungkook moved to Seoul all alone, struggling to overcome fierce competition from older and more experienced trainees to earn his spot in the debut lineup. There were times when he didn’t get enough food or sleep—and leisure time was a luxury.

In SUGA's eyes, Jungkook is truly a very good boy, and he wants to treat him with the utmost care and attention. He must believe that his gentleness can help this child feel loved and alleviate the hardships of his teenage years.

Thanks to SUGA’s unwavering kindness throughout the years, Jungkook has grown up with a bright soul and a compαѕѕionate heart. That influence has shaped the way he interacts with everyone. This is why anyone who works with Jungkook is impressed not only by his talent but also by his kindness!

Although SUGA may appear cold and reserved on the outside, he actually possesses a warm heart and a very unique way of expressing affection. The way he treats Jungkook—and the other members—proves just how deeply he cares for them.

Another moment that further highlights SUGA's character was when the remaining members enlisted. RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook enlisted in December, while SUGA had started his military service three months prior. Under normal circumstances, requesting leave would be very difficult, but he worked tirelessly for three months without taking a single day off—all to save up two rare days of leave so he could see his younger brothers off.

Ultimately, BTS is truly a family. The way they have grown together has forged a bond that the whole world cannot help but admire—and even envy!
