In Hollywood, information about celebrities sometimes circulates in the form of “blind items” — anonymous rumors that do not directly name the people involved but instead provide clues for readers to figure out their identities. Crazy Days & Nights is one of the best-known websites for publishing this type of content.
After some time, when the site believes it has enough certainty or when a story has already made headlines in the media, it may publish a “reveal” to disclose the identities of the people involved. The website has previously sparked controversy with several rumors involving Rosé of BLACKPINK and the girl group KATSEYE.
Recently, an anonymous rumor posted on November 3 caught the attention of the K-pop fandom, particularly ARMY. The original blind item claimed that an A-list K-pop group had turned down an invitation to perform at a major music festival, partly because the event coincided with one of the group members’ weddings.

Notably, a reveal from Crazy Days & Nights soon followed. The website identified the group as BTS and the member in question as V (Kim Taehyung), linking the story to rumors that he was engaged to Jennie of BLACKPINK based on an “alleged sighting” of the two together. The claim caused considerable surprise among netizens, while ARMY expressed outrage over what they viewed as baseless rumors being dragged into stories about V and BTS.

Fans pointed out that although Crazy Days & Nights has occasionally published information before mainstream media outlets, particularly regarding major Hollywood scandals, the website has also circulated numerous false, exaggerated or unsubstantiated stories. The person behind the site has even admitted that not every item is accurate. For this reason, ARMY argued that the latest “reveal” should not be treated as confirmed fact.
As for BTS being named in the rumor, TMZ and several other outlets had previously reported that the group turned down an offer to headline Coachella 2027, despite the organizers' strong interest in having them perform. However, the reasons discussed were primarily related to scheduling. BTS's ARIRANG World Tour is expected to continue until mid-March 2027, leaving only around three weeks before Coachella takes place. After such a long and demanding tour, the group may need time to rest. Negotiations between HYBE and the festival organizers were also reportedly unsuccessful.
There has been no information confirming that BTS turned down the invitation because of a wedding or engagement.

Meanwhile, dating rumors involving V and Jennie have circulated for years, but neither artist nor their respective agencies, HYBE and YG Entertainment, has ever confirmed the relationship. The speculation continues to resurface based on unverified fan theories and weak pieces of so-called evidence, none of which are sufficient to establish that the two are in a relationship.
Fans also emphasized that even if an idol decides to get married or engaged, it is not inherently soмєтнing that deserves criticism or controversy, let alone being reported as a scandal.
On social media, fans have continued to express their various reations over the circulating claims:
- I'm crying the only scandal on bts these people seem to have is dating and they are milking every wattpad story they can come up with
- There’s nothing you can drag bts with because they have the numbers (clearly) and they are going viral for their talent on stage so you just resort to pαѕѕing around dating scandals just like a certain female idol has been pαѕѕed around with the same stories— find soмєтнing new
- Imagine making up an entire engagement story based on an alleged sighting. These blind items should never be treated as facts. Leave Taehyung alone
- Great fanfic but this isn’t how coachella works. coachella doesn’t let you perform in certain cities within a certain timeframe if you headline, so actually doing coachella would give them less tour dates rather than getting them to extend it
- BTS turned down a festival invitation, and somehow people turned it into an engagement scandal? The level of speculation is ridiculous
- Yes it's Jungkook and mee, livestream of our wedding on Weverse soon. Respect our privacy dude
- BTS have reached a point in their careers where them getting married/dating is their biggest scandal sjsjsjsjs. Only a fool would believe this nonsense
- This being the scandal that can be made up about these men, like yeah they are not single, thank God I guess??
- A ‘reveal’ doesn't magically turn an unverified rumor into confirmed news. Stop spreading misinformation about Taehyung
