As fans already know, V shares a well-known close friendship with the Wooga Squad, a group of celebrities consisting of Park Seo-joon, Choi Woo-shik, Park Hyung-sik, and Peakboy (a musician and producer). They first became acquainted while working together on the 2016 drama *Hwarang* and gradually grew closer, building on friendships they had already shared. The group is beloved by fans for their close-knit, almost family-like bond and the way they support one another in both their careers and personal lives.

Recently, however, one Wooga Squad member, actor Choi Woo-shik, was υиєχρє¢тє∂ly dragged into a controversy surrounding his alleged attitude and behavior after an Instagram post by a flight attendant went viral.
The flight attendant recounted that she did not recognize the actor when he boarded the plane. After greeting him and approaching to take his meal order, she claimed that he frowned, appeared annoyed, and turned to the manager sitting next to him, saying: “What are you doing? They're talking to me!” His tone was described as irritated. The flight attendant said she thought to herself, “What kind of J£RK is this?” and only realized he was Choi Woo-shik after checking the pαѕѕenger list.

The story was quickly linked to a previous controversy involving the actor at the AMI Paris event during Paris Fashion Week in June 2026. At the time, a Black fan accused him of ignoring her request for an autograph while signing for people around her. Choi Woo-shik later posted an apology, explaining that the event had run out of time and expressing hope that he would have another opportunity to meet the fan.
Back then, some netizens also pointed to another video showing him interacting with a different Black fan, defending him by arguing that he had no intention of being яα¢ιѕт.
Nevertheless, these incidents have placed Choi Woo-shik at the center of criticism. Making matters worse, some netizens have begun extending their attacks to the entire Wooga Squad, including V, based on the idea that “birds of a feather flock together.” One netizen commented: “The entire Wooga Squad is full of incels, misogynists and problematic weirdos.”
The attacks against V have been particularly harsh, with some comments accusing him of sharing the same behavior as his friends: “That Taehyung is just as bad and just as rude and just as яα¢ιѕт as his friends. It’s sick how that squad gets away with the most яα¢ιѕт and misogynistic incidents”; “Birds of a feather flock together. In BTS, he looks down on women and in Wooga, he ooks down on staff ”; “The same way Taehyung body-shamed his friend in an IG Live”; “V is himself an incel. I can't imagine how harshly they talk about women they can't fυ¢к and their own girlfriends or exes over soju at their incel gatherings”; and “That fake-innocent devil Taehyung is just the same,” among other remarks.

In response, fans quickly stepped forward to defend V and the Wooga Squad. They first pointed out that the airplane incident remains an unverified personal account that has not been independently corroborated. Neither Choi Woo-shik nor his agency or manager has issued an official response to the allegations. They argued that condemning the actor without knowing the full context, or attacking him and the entire Wooga Squad based on an unverified account, is unfair, unreasonable, and unjustified.
ARMY also emphasized that even if the story were eventually confirmed, individuals should be held accountable for their own actions rather than having their behavior used to judge everyone around them. Throughout more than a decade in the entertainment industry, V has repeatedly received praise for being polite, friendly, and considerate toward the people he has worked with and encountered. Fans believe his consistent behavior over the years speaks for itself.
They also urged fellow fans not to believe unverified accounts blindly. Some pointed out that hostile individuals were exploiting the current controversy to amplify accusations against V and damage his reputation. Fans called on others to report inappropriate comments to the relevant platforms and HYBE, while avoiding direct arguments or engagement that could only fuel further conflict.
