The Producer Working With BTS Reveals The Music Snippet From Animation Trailer Is Actually A B-side

In the K-pop industry, gradually teasing parts of a new album has become a familiar practice used to build excitement among fans. BigHit Music is no exception, as the company revealed the album’s logo, title, concept, and tracklist early on ahead of the release of Arirang. Beyond these basic details, BTS’s management recently dropped a special animation trailer on March 13, giving fans a deeper look into the concept behind the group’s upcoming comeback.

The video quickly drew attention for its cinematic storytelling and strong historical undertones. The trailer opens with the image of seven students from Howard University in Washington, D.C., who are believed to have recorded the first overseas version of the кσяєαn folk song Arirang in 1896. In a simple setting, they sing the song to a local au∂ιєnce—people who do not understand кσяєαn and have no idea what the lyrics mean.

As time pαѕѕes, the scene shifts to a mαѕѕive stadium filled with tens of thousands of cheering fans, where another group of seven young men stand under the bright stage lights. In the end, the story returns to Gwanghwamun Square. This narrative ultimately leads to the global K-pop group BTS and their upcoming album Arirang. Inspired by the first recording of “Arirang” in Washington, D.C. in 1896, the work connects that historical moment with BTS’s own journey of bringing кσяєαn music and culture to the world.

The video not only gave fans goosebumps thanks to its intricate details and layered storytelling, but it also sent excitement soaring when a producer revealed that a b-side track from the album had actually been teased within the trailer.

On March 14, the French producer duo Picard Brothers shared a clip cut from the trailer on their Instagram Story. What immediately caught fans’ attention was the caption “Body 2 Body” accompanied by an hourglαѕѕ emoji appearing in the corner of the screen.

This small hint led fans to realize that the veteran producers were likely implying that the music heard in BTS’s latest trailer is actually part of the melody from the first track of the ARIRANG album, titled “Body To Body.” Picard Brothers are also credited as one of the main producers and songwriters of the track, alongside other well-known names such as Diplo, Ryan Tedder, and Pdogg.

Picard Brothers are far from unfamiliar within the international music industry. The duo, consisting of Maxime Picard and Clément Picard, have produced or written songs for many major artists including Mark Ronson, Beyoncé, Elton John, SG Lewis, and Kali Uchis. Some of their notable projects include Beyoncé’s track “BLOW,” the нιт song “Electricity” by Silk City featuring Dua Lipa, and contributions to the album An Evening with Silk Sonic by Silk Sonic, the project led by Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak.

Meanwhile, “Body To Body” has been described as the opening track of the album Arirang, carrying explosive energy and serving as a “concert opener”—a song designed to immediately ignite the atmosphere at the start of a performance. As briefly heard in the animation trailer, the track appears to lean toward a catchy dance/club or EDM-pop style that naturally makes listeners want to move along with the beat. Notably, fans have also pointed out that this could be the same song that j-hope once mentioned on his birthday, saying that it made his heart “flutter” when he first heard it.

Although only a few seconds of the track were heard in the trailer, the melody of “Body To Body” has already captivated fans, raising their expectations for the other explosive sounds waiting to be discovered in the upcoming album ARIRANG:

- Oh Jhope you were so right for having this track shake your heart. It shook my soul too.
