As fans learned on the 23rd of this month, SUGA was reported to have donated five billion won, equivalent to over $3.6 million USD, to support the mental health of children and adolescents through the establishment and operation of a treatment center named after him at Yonsei University Severance Hospital in Seoul.
Built with SUGA's donation, the Min Yoon Gi Treatment Center is expected to provide medical therapy and treatment for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders. This is the largest donation ever made by an entertainer to Yonsei University hospitals.
But more than the amount of money SUGA donated, his kindness was also shown directly through his actions. According to the news, SUGA has been a volunteer, meeting directly with young people with autism spectrum disorders every weekend since the beginning of this year.
SUGA plays guitar with the children, encourages them to express their emotions by keeping the beat, and teaches them how to use musical instruments during each visit.
In the latest video shared on the official Youtube channel of Severance Hospital - a place that treats hundreds of autistic children, the moments when SUGA plays or teaches musical instruments to the children were recorded.
It is worth noting that the words of autistic children with SUGA make people understand more deeply his positive influence on them. One child told him: "Mr. Min! I often listen to this song with my dad when we go camping. Please play it first"
Meanwhile, some others said things like "Mr. Min I want to perform the xylophone and ukulele I learned in the Mind Program in front of more people! I think I can do it", "Mr. Min the reason handbells are good is because they sound like rain."
These coincidental moments moved fans, realizing his silent meaningful work over the past long time:

On the other hand, SUGA himself is also the one who worked with Professor Chun to develop 'MIND', a music-based group therapy program to improve the social sкιℓℓs of children with autism.
MIND stands for Music (musical sensory experience), Interaction (social interaction), Network (building relationships within a community), and Diversity (respect for diversity and coexistence). The program is designed to allow children to express their emotions and thoughts through playing instruments and singing.
As a result, children who previously showed no response to language therapy began to exhibit changes, such as voluntarily choosing and playing instruments. For example, an 18-year-old named Kim, who had shown almost no verbal expression, began to display emotions through facial expressions during ensemble sessions and responded positively to the therapist’s praise.
