Contract renewals with a management company are always a particularly important milestone, especially for idol groups, as they determine the future of not just one individual but the group as a whole. After making their debut in June 2013, BTS initially signed a seven-year contract with BigHit. In October 2018, before their first exclusive contract expired, all seven members decided to renew their contracts early with the management company. However, several recent reports have completely dispelled those concerns, reaffirming the group’s direction toward sustainable and long-term activities.

Specifically, in a report by кσяєαn media, the Ministry’s “Standard Exclusive Contract for Popular Culture and Arts Professionals (Mainly Singers)” was cited, clearly stating: “The contract period under Paragraph 1 may not exceed seven years.” K-media then noted, with an industry source confirming that HYBE and BTS reached a seven-year agreement that year—laying out a comprehensive long-term plan for the K-pop superstars' next chapter.

In HYBE’s own report on its artists, BTS’ contract renewal was recorded as having taken place in 2023. However, in a statement released by HYBE at the time of BTS’ second contract renewal, the company emphasized: "Members who are currently serving in the military will have completed their service by 2025, when the new exclusive contract period begins." This means that due to the two-year interruption caused by their mandatory military service, the contract actually goes into effect in 2025.

So, based on all of these details, the contract will continue until around 2030–2032!

This new information about the contract period has left fans incredibly excited and overjoyed, as they may still have at least four more years before they need to worry about the group’s future again. Many fans cannot help but feel confident that, given BTS’ strong unity and their history of renewing their contracts early twice before, along with a seven-year contract period, the outcome next time will be no different:
