Many fans know that it wasn't until 2022, after spending nine years promoting together as a group, that BTS decided to officially embark on solo careers. Over the next three years, all seven members released solo albums, explored different musical styles, and achieved remarkable success on their own. In particular, SUGA, j-hope, and Jin successfully completed solo tours, proving their star power as individual artists.
During that period, there was also plenty of speculation about BTS' future as a group. In the K-pop industry, it is often αѕѕumed that once members begin focusing on their individual careers, group promotions will gradually become less frequent. BTS, however, took a completely different path. As soon as all seven members completed their military service, they reunited almost immediately, released their ARIRANG album, and launched a world tour with the full seven-member lineup.

The contrast between performing as a solo artist and returning to the stage with the group—especially for members like Jin, who had already experienced a solo tour—naturally sparked curiosity about how he felt reuniting with his six bandmates. In a recent interview, Jin candidly opened up for the first time about the difference between the two experiences.
Without hesitation, he made it clear that being with the members is the best feeling of all, saying: "These guys are the best, you know?" He then admitted that although he had successfully completed his solo promotions and tour, performing alone always came with tremendous pressure. "There was this fear in the back of my mind," he confessed.
Jin continued: "Performing without them taught me soмєтнing—how grateful I am that we get to do this together and how much it means to me. When I’m with them, we end up laughing our way through everything, and onstage, too, I’m so happy that I just can’t help smiling." His heartfelt answer deeply moved fans around the world!

Jin's latest remarks also perfectly echoed what he said in Bloomberg's interview back in March, shortly after BTS officially reunited following more than three years of hiatus from group activities. When asked whether the success of their solo projects had ever made the members consider continuing as solo artists instead of reuniting, Jin answered without hesitation: “It’s less of whether our solo albums do better or the group albums do better. We just love doing group promotions more”.
In fact, throughout their solo era, Jin—as well as the other BTS members—repeatedly admitted that they often felt lonely, anxious, and missed one another while working separately. After spending more than a decade doing virtually everything together, performing without the rest of the group simply didn't feel the same. Since reuniting, the members have continued to express how grateful they are to be working together again and how much happiness they find in standing on stage as seven once more.
In BTS' latest Weverse Magazine interview, Jimin emphasized: "Reuniting like this was a vivid reminder of just how grateful and happy I am that all seven of us get to perform together. I think seeing all seven of us onstage together from start to finish during this tour says everything about how we see our group and how we feel about each other."

Meanwhile, j-hope stressed that no one in BTS could ever replace another member, explaining: "Each of us has our own role to play, and there’s a kind of beauty you only get when we’re all lumped together. And more than anything, I think there’s this connection with people all over the world that only exists when all seven of us are together. Since this tour is our first time being back with our fans in a long time, we wanted to give them as much time with the whole group as possible. That’s really all there is to it."
SUGA also shared emotionally that "I’m just grateful that, even 13 years later, we still get to go on tour and keep being singers". And Jungkook said that what BTS wants to show the world more than anything right now is simply all seven of them performing together on one stage.
Taken together, Jin's heartfelt confession and the members' repeated remarks all point to the same conclusion: despite their successful solo careers, what brings BTS the greatest happiness has always been standing side by side as a seven-member group. Their extraordinary bond has once again been reaffirmed, leaving fans deeply emotional!
