Born on October 13, 1995, Jimin officially turned 31 this year. Despite BTS’s busy schedule of meeting fans around the world, the members still managed to surprise him with a fun and υиєχρє¢тє∂ birthday celebration. Jimin shared a photo of a chocolate cake with three candles on his personal social media account, along with the caption: “I was just about to get in the shower and had almost taken all my clothes off when the members congratulated me.”
Earlier, on October 10, when BTS held their final concert in Lima, Peru, local fans organized early birthday celebrations, including a drone show and yellow heart-shaped banners at the concert. The idol was deeply happy and grateful for their love. During a livestream afterward, he also recalled the gift he had received from Peruvian fans: “I did receive gifts. I received a really big one.”
Just when it seemed that the birthday wishes and surprises had come to an end, Jimin found himself at the center of another special moment on October 14, during BTS’s first concert in Chile. The υиєχρє¢тє∂ gesture moved him to tears once again!
After the surprise songs segment, Chilean ARMYs surprised the idol with a belated birthday celebration. While the BTS members had prepared a birthday crown for Jimin, fans across the venue held up purple birthday banners and yellow heart banners to cheer him on. Overwhelmed by the υиєχρє¢тє∂ sight, Jimin could not hold back his tears and expressed his gratitude for the love he received from both his fellow members and ARMY.
The moment became even more meaningful considering that just one day earlier, during a livestream on his actual birthday, Jimin had shared: “Since we have been on tour lately, it feels like my birthday just sprung up on me. I’m not the type to really care about my birthday as you all know. So I feel really happy and grateful because you all wish me.”
He also added: “Also since I'm out of the country, my parents called me yesterday and said ‘We're grateful to have a son like you,’ so that made me really happy.” Notably, after the soundcheck ahead of the concert in Chile that day, Jimin also received a bouquet of flowers from his parents, accompanied by a card bearing the words “Our beloved son,” making the day even more meaningful for him.
Although Jimin has humbly admitted that he is not someone who pays much attention to his birthday, he never takes birthday wishes for granted. He feels genuinely happy and grateful when the people around him—including his bandmates, parents, and fans—remember his special day and send him their wishes. For him, that alone is enough; these gestures are the most wonderful birthday gifts he could ever receive.
