For ARMY, the café opened in Busan by Park Hyun Soo, Jimin’s father, has long been a famous and iconic destination—almost a must-visit spot for anyone traveling to the city. Beyond attracting fans from all over the world, the café has also welcomed special guests, including Frode Solberg, the Norwegian Ambαѕѕador to South кσяєα, further highlighting its popularity.
The café is beloved for its modern artistic atmosphere, combining industrial-style décor with grand chandeliers, armchairs, and contemporary artworks. One of the most popular areas among ARMY is the dedicated exhibition space, which features signed BTS albums and personal photos of Jimin. Visitors can also leave letters and gifts for the artist.
The café is also well known for its menu. Positive reviews highlight must-try treats such as carrot cake, cheese bread, rainbow cake, and hazelnut cake, along with drinks like einspänner, gяαρєfruit juice, almond cream lattes, and herbal tea. Its selection of light bites, including sandwiches and French pastries, is also highly recommended.

However, fans may soon have to say goodbye to this special place!
In its latest Instagram post, ZM-illennial took many people by surprise with the announcement: “As of today, the remaining time that ZM-illennial will be with all of you is now 365 days.” Although no exact closing date was provided, the message suggests that the café will cease operations in one year.
In an emotional message, the café’s team expressed their gratitude to everyone who had visited, shown affection, and supported the establishment. “Every single step taken from afar without forgetting us, every warm smile and greeting, along with the support and heart-filled wishes you have sent — all of these have been a huge happiness and precious memories for us beyond what words can express,” the announcement read.
ZM-illennial also made a heartfelt promise: “For the remaining time, we will not forget our initial mindset, and we will continue to put our unchanging sincerity and care into every single drink and small dessert. We will do our absolute best until the very last moment so that everyone who visits can spend a warm and happy time, even if brief, and so that this space called ZM-illennial can remain as a good memory for a long time.”

The post did not explain the reason behind the impending closure, leaving fans stunned and questioning why a seemingly successful and busy café would suddenly announce that it would shut down. Fortunately, a кσяєαn-αмєяι¢αn content creator later shared information she had gathered, shedding light on the circumstances behind Jimin’s father’s decision.
According to the creator, Jimin’s father had been under considerable pressure due to a dispute with his landlady. She claimed that the property owner operated the neighboring store, Magnet, and had started selling coffee while also adopting purple-themed décor and aesthetics αѕѕociated with ARMY. This could potentially lead people to believe that the two establishments were affiliated. The creator noted that the situation had placed significant pressure on him.
In fact, disputes over branding and confusion between neighboring businesses reportedly date back several years. The café first opened in 2019 under the name MAGNATE but was forced to change its name to ZM-ILLENNIAL in 2024 after another brand allegedly appropriated the name, causing confusion among fans. By mid-2026, another neighboring store had also begun using the name Magnate, having initially operated as a clothing business. This prompted the café to issue a clarification stating that the two businesses were unrelated to prevent further confusion.

These businesses have been accused of capitalizing on Jimin’s family’s fame to attract attention. The decision to close the café in another year may ultimately reflect the cumulative toll of business pressures, frustration over alleged imitation, and prolonged stress.
Following the announcement from Jimin’s father, many fans have expressed their sadness and disappointment:
- Thats so sad. We (my kiddo and i) went in the spring and actually met him as we were leaving. The café was amazing (food and drinks were so good!) and actually met him as we left! Super sweet man and was so thankful for our visit
- If you’re in #Busan please support his cafe #ZMillennial and send him love. The atmosphere is so Jimin-ish, heartwarming, and beautiful
- My dream is to eat there once and it has been fulfilled, thank goodness. I hope every Jimin’s fans can go there at least once before it’s closed
- Those parasites, stealing his cafe name and then trying to take his cafe. Looks like they succeeded for now but karma will come. Evil!
- The landlord really saw the purple cups and thought that was the business model. Hope he gets a peaceful year closing out
- I luckily just went there last week for the 2nd time after 3 years, and met Jimin's dad too. Sad that he's closing, it's a really warm and cozy place for ARMY
- No wonder Jimin's dad's cafe kept warning fans multiple times to be careful not to mistake the neighbor's shop for theirs since it's completely unrelated. I really hope they can open their next spot with a decent landlord this time!
- I was very obvious since the day that imposter named itself magnate that they wanna bank on jimins dad's hard work & cafe's identity. purple decor, drinks, yeah wrap that up.. that space isnt worth anymore. I wish he reopens at some other location and gets immense support
- So sad I hope jimin's dad is fine.. Hope he don't stress out maybe they can open somewhere neww
