Ever since BTS rose to become one of the world’s leading groups, international media outlets have been competing for the chance to interview the superstars. However, for various reasons, including BigHit Music’s strict selection standards, only a limited number of media outlets and publications have had the opportunity to interview BTS directly. Over the years, only a handful of major media brands have had the chance to interview BTS, such as The Variety, Billboard, Bloomberg, The кσяєα Times, and Yonhap News....

Even major media outlets do not easily get the chance to have a direct interview with BTS, so such an opportunity would seem even more unlikely for an individual streamer — especially when the interview is scheduled to take place right at the group’s concert. Yet recently, one streamer has secured this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: xCRY.

xCRY (Cry / @xCryboy) is a fairly well-known streamer in the Spanish-speaking community, particularly in мєχι¢σ and Latin αмєяι¢α. He mainly streams on Twitch, where he has around 3.2–3.3 million followers. On Instagram, he also has an account with 5 million followers and has his own fan community known as Cryboyers.

During a recent livestream with his fans, xCRY υиєχρє¢тє∂ly revealed that he would soon have a special interview with BTS, leaving everyone surprised.

xCRY said that he had originally been scheduled to interview BTS at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas. However, the streamer was unable to travel to the United States due to a visa-related issue, meaning he missed the chance to meet BTS and carry out the interview that had already been arranged.

What is particularly noteworthy, though, is that this interview opportunity did not disappear for good. According to xCRY, HYBE allowed the interview to be rescheduled for October 3 in Bogotá, Colombia — when BTS will be scheduled to perform at El Campín as part of the ARIRANG World Tour. This would also mark the first time in BTS concert history that the group has done an interview with a streamer.

The opportunity is even more meaningful for xCRY because he has long admired BTS, especially Jungkook. In an old interview where he was asked about fashion icons or people who inspire his current style, xCRY once mentioned Jungkook as his ideal role model because of the idol’s versatility. He said that Jungkook does everything well, looks good in whatever he wears, and that what the BTS member has achieved in the fashion world is truly admirable. xCRY even said that it would be a great honor for him to meet Jungkook one day.

This connection became even more adorable when, around the time Jungkook released his solo album GOLDEN in November 2023, xCRY went on stream to thank ARMY for their positive reactions to the idol and his album on Twitter. The streamer also said that if ARMY needed help with streaming the album, they could let him know, while revealing that his mother is a Jungkook fan.

With the BTS interview in Bogotá as shared by xCRY, the streamer will not only have the opportunity to interview one of K-pop’s top superstars but also meet his idol in person and watch their live performance. Fans online could not help but get excited and look forward to seeing the interaction between them:
