Stepping into the entertainment industry, any artist must accept a harsh reality: alongside the intense love and support from fans come scrutiny, criticism, and even baseless hatred. Fame brings glamour, but it also carries countless risks that not everyone can anticipate. And even when mentally prepared, dealing with anti-fans remains a nightmare that almost no celebrity can truly escape.

What is most frightening is that anti-fans do not only harαѕѕ celebrities through malicious comments, smear campaigns, or online harαѕѕment. Their hatred often goes beyond words and turns into violent threats. At that point, it is no longer just an online controversy but a real danger to the personal safety of public figures.

Jimin is one of the idols who has faced the highest number of life-threatening situations in the industry. Since his debut, he has reportedly received multiple so-called “вℓσσ∂ letters” from people driven by irrational hatred—so notorious that even the media has questioned him about it in the past. Recently, a similar situation has emerged again while he and the group were carrying out a schedule in Portugal.

According to ARMYs, during BTS’s stay in Lisbon, many people managed to trace the members’ whereabouts and waited outside their hotel, raising concerns about privacy violations. More seriously, some anti-fans were reportedly planning to harm the members, with Jimin being one of the targets.

ARMYs discovered a suspicious Instagram account with over 13,000 followers that had posted multiple direct threats, openly stating that the user wanted to physically harm Jimin if given the chance. Moreover, the account has continuously uploaded inflammatory, negative, and abusive content toward the idol, using extremely aggressive language.

Although it is unclear whether the person would actually act on these threats, fans considered the situation to be a serious risk and reported it to HYBE, urging the company to pay close attention. ARMYs also called for urgent action to ensure the artist’s safety. A widely shared statement on social media read: “The Instagram account @/mytaekoo has issued threatening statements toward Jimin. We urge @bts_bigнιт and @HYBEOFFICIALtwt to take this matter seriously, increase security measures, and take immediate action to ensure his safety.”

In addition, fans collectively reported the account to Instagram to request its suspension and called on local communities in Portugal to stay alert and notify the ρσℓι¢є if any suspicious behavior was observed.

Notably, this is not the only anti-fan targeting Jimin recently. Another individual has also become the subject of mαѕѕ reports due to a series of extreme actions such as livestreaming defamatory content, spreading misinformation, and circulating abusive materials about Jimin. This person even visited Jimin’s father’s café to cause disturbances, livestreamed negative remarks on-site, and left maliciously edited images to defame him. The individual is also accused of leading a toxic group that spreads manipulated images and offensive messages at tourist locations αѕѕociated with BTS.

In response to these actions, ARMYs have encouraged other fans to report directly to HYBE via its official portal at protect.hybecorp.com.

Witnessing the extreme and disturbing behavior of some anti-fans, netizens have expressed deep concern for Jimin’s safety and voiced their frustration over the relentless extremism of such individuals, saying:
