However, the group’s return has also brought back familiar issues within idol culture, particularly the invasion of artists’ private lives. A number of overly zealous individuals reportedly tracked down information regarding BTS’s schedule and accommodation in Lisbon, leading to crowds gathering outside their hotel and appearances at private spaces without permission.

This, however, was not the most serious concern. The situation escalated further when fans began to detect signs of a direct threat targeting member V.

According to information shared within the international fan community, after BTS arrived in Lisbon, one of the individuals camping outside the hotel where the group was staying was identified as an anti-fan of V with toxic views. This person is alleged to have repeatedly posted hostile content about V in the past, spread misinformation about him, and has now gone as far as planning to cause physical harm to the artist. Reports claim that the individual was waiting for an opportunity to approach and attack him.

This information immediately put the global ARMY community on high alert, as the situation had escalated beyond an invasion of privacy into a serious safety threat against the artist.

In response, fans around the world quickly sent notices and formal appeals directly to HYBE and BigHit Music, urging the company to take immediate protective measures for V during his stay in Portugal. One widely shared message read: “We urge @BIGHIT_MUSIC @HYBEOFFICIALtwt to take urgent action and make BTS V’s safety their utmost priority following these threats of physical harm.”
