BigHit Music Addresses ARMYs’ Concerns Over Whether BTS Will Postpone Their Paris World Tour For 2026 World Cup

On May 14, social media and fans completely exploded after FIFA and Global Citizen announced that BTS would officially take the stage as co-headliners for the “Halftime Show” at the 2026 FIFA World Cup North αмєяι¢α Final. This marks the first time a halftime show has ever been held during a World Cup Final, as well as the first time a K-pop group will appear on the stage of the world’s biggest sporting event.

FIFA and Global Citizen were reportedly planning this special stage as a way to connect the world through music, sports, and culture. The program will be broadcast live globally, with content curation led by Chris Martin. In the lineup announcement video, BTS also made a surprise appearance through a video call where Chris Martin personally called each member by name and invited them to participate. RM then confidently confirmed that the group would definitely be there.

However, after the initial excitement and celebration, many fans quickly realized there was a major concern regarding the group’s schedule. According to BTS’s previously announced world tour itinerary, the group is scheduled to perform their second concert night at Stade de fяαи¢є in Paris on the evening of July 18 — only around a dozen hours before the World Cup halftime show takes place at MetLife Stadium on July 19. That doesn’t even include the time needed for rehearsals before the actual show.

Typically, BTS concerts last around 2–3 hours and usually end around 10–11 PM local time. With such timing and the travel distance between Europe and North αмєяι¢α, many fans began expressing concerns about how the members would possibly make it in time for the historic performance on July 19. Some even wondered whether BTS might have to postpone or alter their Paris concert schedule in order to prioritize the World Cup appearance.

However, according to an internal source from BigHit Music speaking to кσяєαn media, absolutely no changes have been made to BTS’s world tour schedule following the World Cup announcement. This means BTS’s concerts in Paris will proceed exactly as planned and according to the ticket information originally sold back in January. BigHit and BTS seemingly already had a carefully coordinated plan in place for the back-to-back schedules.

Meanwhile, several major fanbases also quickly stepped in to reαѕѕure the ARMY community. One popular account wrote: “To everyone worried: BTS’s Paris show ends around 10:30 PM. Even if the 11 PM departure is just speculation and they fly out a bit later, they’ll still land in NY in the early morning of July 19th. The time difference is on their side! They’ll have enough time to rest and rehearse that same day before the big show. No need to speculate about cancellations!”

Another fan account also provided a detailed breakdown of how the schedule could realistically unfold that day. According to the analysis, the Paris concert will most likely end sometime between 10:00–11:00 PM on July 18, after which BTS would immediately pack up, head to the airport, and depart for the United States. The flight would take approximately seven hours nonstop, and in this situation, BTS would almost certainly use a private jet (or possibly one sponsored by FIFA). Thanks to the six-hour summer time difference between the two cities, BTS could land in New York City at around midnight on July 19 local time.

After that, the group would still have time to rest overnight before heading into rehearsal and final confirmations for the halftime show around 9:00–11:00 AM. Meanwhile, the halftime show itself is expected to take place around 3:45–4:15 PM local U.S. time on July 19!

Following these explanations, many fans felt somewhat reαѕѕured, though they still could not hide their amazement at BTS’s incredibly intense schedule, commenting:

- I love how BTS just casually hops on side quests during their sold out world tour cause wdym they’re in Paris for 2 sold out shows, then flying over to MetLife for the FIFA World Cup Final’s FIRST EVER halftime show

- So yeah, realistically speaking, this is a pretty insane schedule. The travel day will be before their bo∂ιєs adjust to the time difference, so it looks super tough. Hoping they pull it off smoothly and can rest up even a little

- i know we're all excited but above all their health and rest come first coz we all know they're perfectionist glad they still have time to rest

- That makes me feel better. At least they have some times to rest thanks to the time difference. Hope everything goes well

- It’s truly amazing the effort & energy BTS put in everything they do. Wow!! So excited & proud of them!!

- Relief for ARMY! Good to know they’ll still land in NY early morning on the 19th despite the Paris show. Timing works out perfectly for the big performance

- Reminder that they’ve know about performing at the world cup AND performing in Paris for ages now, if soмєтнing was gonna be rescheduled it would already have been! They didnt find out today on twt

- first thing i googled when the fifa news came out was the time difference in paris and ny.. them resting in between is the most important! ahhh so so proud of our tannies!!!!

- Our big boys aka 7 boys from кσяєα. They do it like no other. That’s not Run BTS, not even Fly BTS, it’s Teleport BTS
