ARMY Defend RM After He Faces Criticism Over Ill-Timed Post

BTS are continuing the second North αмєяι¢αn leg of their ARIRANG World Tour, with Arlington, Texas, as the fourth stop. At AT&T Stadium, tens of thousands of fans have been raising their voices each night, singing along to BTS’ iconic songs. What made the moment even more goosebump-inducing was that it coincided with South кσяєα’s 81st Liberation Day, making the moment ARMYs sang the traditional кσяєαn folk song Arirang together during Body to Body even more special.

Meanwhile, for RM, this stop was especially meaningful as it marked his return to Texas after eight years. He also celebrated the group’s 40th concert on the tour and shared an iconic message with fans at AT&T: “We don't say 'I love you,' we say '사랑해요' (saranghaeyo).” On top of that, touched by the overwhelming love from fans, he commemorated the occasion by sharing several moments from this stop on his personal Instagram.

However, RM’s latest gesture drew strong backlash from a section of fans, as the controversy surrounding Chris Brown has yet to ∂ιє down!

Specifically, an X post sharing a screenshot of RM’s latest Instagram Story has racked up more than 1 million views. In the photo, a fan was holding a banner that read “I love RM” while wearing a T-shirt with a similar message. To many, it was simply a sweet moment between RM and a fan. However, given the sensitivity of the situation right now, the original poster felt that it was an inappropriate choice.

“It is so, so not the time to post this on his story. If this isn't provocation and pure disrespect, then what is it????” they wrote.

The post sparked a wave of criticism toward RM, with some fans accusing him of giving attention to things that were “not the right thing to focus on at this time.” They criticized RM and j-hope for remaining silent after attending a concert featuring Chris Brown, without publicly apologizing or clarifying where they stand, while seemingly continuing to share other content as if nothing had happened.

The criticism intensified even further following Chris Brown’s latest treatment of a female ARMY!

The fan had posted a video urging ARMYs to stay level-headed and maintain some distance from celebrities for the sake of their mental health—a neutral viewpoint that did not attack Chris Brown at all and even attempted to calm the situation down. However, Chris appeared to become angry and directly left a vulgar comment: “Pray bout it h0e.” As the situation escalated, Chris Brown deleted the comment. However, even after it was removed, BTS fans were far from ready to let their anger go.

The outrage has since spilled over onto BTS as well, and the latest criticism aimed at RM is one example of that. Many fans believe that the fact Chris Brown felt comfortable publicly insulting a BTS fan shows just how serious the situation has become. Some harsh comments read: “See this is what happens when an abuser is continually given support despite his actions”, “Nothing would’ve happened in the first place if Namjoon andj-ope hadn’t gone to his concert… both of them need to speak publicly and take responsibility", or "It seems Chris Brown thinks BTS is on his side. That's why he barged into our space and treated us like total XX."

Still, not all ARMYs are siding with the criticism against RM and j-hope. Many fans have stepped up to defend the two members, arguing that fans have no right to dictate what they should do or pressure them into making certain choices. They also reject the idea that attending a concert should automatically be equated with supporting νισℓєи¢є. Meanwhile, fans have pointed out that RM has long had a habit of sharing photos of fans holding creative banners or expressing their love for him after concerts.

Some ARMYs even argue that Chris Brown’s attack on the female fan does not necessarily mean he believed BTS was on his side. Instead, they believe that the constant anger being directed at BTS rather than at the abuser himself only gives Chris Brown more reason to feel smug and emboldened, knowing that no matter what he does, he will not be the one facing the backlash.

Under the post that is currently drawing widespread attention, many fans are speaking up to clarify the issue and defend RM:

- Are you insane???? He posts stuff like this after concerts every member that posts does. Get your stupid *ss checked. And when he can’t even appreciate the folks who admire wtf?

- If you all still attacking namsoek and not this disgusting ριє¢є σf ѕнιт then I'm sorry your priorities are fcked up. This mother fakers gave us an opportunity to cook him to ashes on silver platter. So aim your anger and hatred at the right target

- Do you want him to k1ll himself or what ?? why is it him getting all the hate instead of that fcking a*shole of a cb ?? go get yourselves some help

- He posts this EVERY fяєαкing concert. If isnt on his feed, it’s on his stories. If you don’t think it’s the best moment thats on you but stop with the narrative he is saying or doing soмєтнing TO YOU. You guys are feeding every type of scenario based on a whole projection like

- It's giving parasocial. The way these people have so much issue with him, one would αѕѕume they would just stop stanning him. Like no this level of entitlement is soмєтнing else altogether

- This what happens when instead of go after CB , people choose to criticize others instead. Dude probably celebrating at the immaturity of some, for targeting the guys and not him

- you have to try really hard and be really dumb to think it's not on purpose him grabbing a pic from THREE SHOWS AGO and posting it IN THE STORY instead of on the profile like those ones you screenshotted
