V’s Perseverance Through Military Injury Shared By His Unit Comrade Leaves ARMY In Awe

It has been nearly a year since V was discharged from the SDT, but stories from his military service have recently become a hot topic again after the idol shared several amusing memories from his enlistment days during a livestream. V had the BTS members laughing hysterically as he recalled two particularly hilarious situations: one involved fellow sol∂ιєrs wanting to use video game character names such as Mordekaiser and Lux as their baptismal names during a church service; the other happened during his very first night guard duty, when the previous guard forgot to pαѕѕ along the pαѕѕword. As a result, when an officer shouted "Christ," V innocently responded with "Mas" because it reminded him of Christmas.

These stories were so well received by fans that they quickly went viral across social media, eventually reaching some of V's former military comrades. Inspired by the buzz, several of them joined the conversation by sharing additional memories from their time serving alongside him. Among the most notable stories was one that highlighted the idol's remarkable perseverance and determination while dealing with an injury.

A user named "sagittarius1209" recalled that when V first arrived at his permanent unit, his shoulder was already far from being in good condition. "When Taehyung first came to the special-duty unit after being αѕѕigned to his permanent unit, he had already been practicing dancing nonstop, so his shoulder wasn't in good shape and he was dealing with persistent shoulder pain," he wrote.

However, what impressed his fellow sol∂ιєr the most was V's refusal to ever give up: "Just like King Kong Tae said, Taehyung seemed to have a mindset/attitude of pushing himself to see things through to the very end rather than settling for leaving things halfway. I don't think I ever saw him take shortcuts or do things half heartedly".

The former sol∂ιєr then shared a memorable story about a friendly bet V made with some junior sol∂ιєrs to see who could do the most push-ups within two minutes. The loser would have to buy snacks at the PX. He said: "I even acted as the referee myself. Despite the painful condition of his shoulder, he did more than 110 push-ups in two minutes without stopping once. He's completely the hardworking type."

The revelation surprised many fans! Even when he was not in perfect physical condition, V continued pushing himself beyond his limits. Completing more than 110 push-ups in just two minutes was not simply about competitiveness—it was about overcoming himself. Through moments like this, fans can clearly see his discipline and his unwavering determination to keep moving forward with a strong sense of responsibility, whether on stage or in everyday life.

Another heartwarming detail was that before transferring to another unit, the former sol∂ιєr gave V a special gift. He recalled, "Around the time I was transferring to another unit, when I was saying goodbye to Taehyung, I was hoping his shoulder pain would at least ease up a little when doing shooting drills. So I cleaned up and gave him the debug board (a shooting-training board) that I'd used like an extension of my own body as a gift before I left. I wonder if it's gotten any better now”.

The sol∂ιєr also shared another memory of V that went beyond his impressive perseverance. In a separate post, he wrote: “After training, when we'd take the minibus back to base, the officers would often play music through the speakers. Whenever Taehyung sang along to the songs playing in the vehicle, the ride back to the base felt like a sweet live concert. Even though it was just an impromptu live performance, humming along inside the bus without a microphone, no matter what genre the song was, he sang it in a way that made it feel like I was hearing it for the very first time. I found myself listening completely captivated”.

Even after stepping off the stage, the warmth that fans have always αѕѕociated with V remained exactly the same!

Listening to these everyday stories about V, fans found themselves feeling even more proud of and affectionate toward him, commenting:

- I’m going to burst with pride yesterday and today oh my God Taehyung you are truly a warrior boy and a pride of Korea and ARMY

- Tae is so dedicated to do well, more than 110 push-ups with his shoulder in pain, he is insane, well done Tae you are amazing

- He doesn't fail to warm the hearts of people he meets. I hope his shoulder has gotten better. SDT Taehyung, we are so proud of you, we love you

- He went in with a firm mindset and that’s what saw him get through a very very tough MS. Also, that’s why it seems he came out less scathed.

- 110 pushups in only 2 minutes! That's insane. He is truly hardworking and this shows how dedicated he was during his military service
