During this time, with the exception of Jungkook and j-hope, who have been busy with overseas schedules for the brands they represent, most of the BTS members have been spending time with family and friends over Chuseok, one of the two biggest holidays in South кσяєα.
While Jin recently shared a glimpse of his gaming-filled holiday with his father, V appears to have been enjoying some private time with his friends, according to a fan who happened to meet the idol while working as a server at a restaurant. The fan also recounted the entire encounter, with V’s way of handling the situation after being recognized and asked for an autograph drawing particular attention from ARMYs.
According to the OP, when V first arrived, a colleague recognized him and asked, "Isn't that Taehyung? He looks so much like him." At first, the OP thought there was no way it could be him. However, after her colleague suggested that she bring cold drinks to the group’s table and take a closer look, she immediately recognized V and was left “frozen.”
After hesitating for a while, the OP finally gathered the courage to ask, “I’m really sorry to bother you, but are you Taehyungie?” V kept a serious expression, making her think that she might have mistaken him for someone else. Right after that, though, he spoke up first: “I’m really sorry as well, but would it be okay if you didn’t play our songs?”
As it happened, the restaurant was playing “DOPE” at that exact moment. The OP quickly apologized and turned the song off. She also took the opportunity to ask whether V could leave her an autograph after finishing his meal. The idol initially declined and apologized.
“So I felt bad too and said, ‘It’s okay, I’m sorry,’ before turning around and leaving. I was worried that he might feel uncomfortable, so I tried to act like I didn’t know who he was. Whenever their table ordered soмєтнing, I would just go over and serve it myself,” the OP recalled about what happened afterward.
Then, during one of their visits, V himself brought up the autograph again and said, “Once I finish eating and leave, I’ll leave an autograph for you, okay?” The OP said she was so happy that her hands were trembling as she brought food to the table, making the entire group laugh. “Then I told them, ‘He’s actually my favorite, and JK is too,’ and they all started laughing again,” she recounted.
Before they left, one of V’s friends came over and explained, “Normally he doesn’t give these out,” but still took her name and brought it to V. After the group left the restaurant, the OP discovered that the idol had left the autograph right there on the table for her.
As the ARMY’s story spread widely across social media, V’s considerate way of handling the situation won over fans and many netizens alike.
V was spending private time with friends who are not celebrities, yet he had to repeatedly deal with people approaching him for autographs, regardless of whether they were genuine fans. If he agreed to one person’s request, a long line of others could easily follow, many of whom might be autograph resellers. This could potentially create significant trouble for both the restaurant and its staff.
At the same time, V seemingly did not want to leave his excited fan — who had just υиєχρє¢тє∂ly encountered her bias right in front of her — feeling disappointed after being turned down for an autograph. Considering that she had also been considerate enough to turn off the music so that V’s table would not attract additional attention, while continuing to serve the group attentively, V found a thoughtful way to handle the situation: he chose to leave her an autograph after finishing his meal, once he could make sure that everyone was comfortable and safe.
This is just who V has always been — warm, kind, and considerate of everyone around him. How could anyone not love someone like that?
Even so, fans did not entirely endorse the OP’s actions. Some ARMYs pointed out that directly approaching an idol or asking for an autograph while they are enjoying private time is soмєтнing fans should avoid, emphasizing the importance of respecting V’s personal space and that of the other BTS members. Fans also noted that the ARMY in question should take this experience as a lesson, as her impulsive action put V in an awkward situation.
