League of Legends is extremely popular in South кσяєα and is often regarded as the country’s “national sport,” with more than 4.56 million regular fans. Recently, LoL’s status in кσяєα has risen even further after T1 and legendary pro player Faker won the League of Legends World Championship three consecutive times since 2023. Therefore, it is hardly surprising that the members of BTS openly identify themselves as longtime fans of the game.
On the other hand, based on various direct statements and compiled information, ARMYs have discovered that at least five BTS members are “addicted” to League of Legends: Jin, Jimin, V, Jungkook, and SUGA. Among them, Jin, Jimin, and V appear to be the most dedicated players. Jin once revealed his particular fondness for the bottom-lane champion Jhin — considered a homophone of his stage name — by changing his Instagram profile picture and sharing the champion’s iconic quotes such as, “And there I bloom like a flower in the dawn” and “Now, it’s time for curtain call”, before his military enlistment.

In the documentary BTS The Return, released on Netflix in March this year, Jimin also surprised fans by revealing that he can play League of Legends for up to 10 hours whenever he has free time. One scene even showed the idol playing in the bottom lane on Summoner’s Rift.
Meanwhile, V has long been well known within the fandom for his pαѕѕion for LoL, once revealing that he had reached Diamond IV rank — a tier occupied by roughly the top 2% of players. However, fans had never previously heard him specifically reveal the positions he usually mains.
Everything was finally revealed during the third day of the Stanford concert soundcheck, when a fan asked V about the positions he typically plays in League of Legends. Without hesitation, the idol responded with hand gestures indicating: Top, Mid, and Jungle. The answer immediately sent the ARMY community into a frenzy, as these are all notoriously difficult positions to play — especially Jungle, which is widely considered the hardest role in LoL.
The jungler’s role is not limited to focusing on a single lane, but instead requires controlling the entire map, reading situations, tracking the timing of major objectives such as Dragon and Baron, and simultaneously creating positive impact across other lanes. Mid lane operates under a similarly demanding system, while Top lane leans toward an isolated playstyle that requires high-level mechanics and champion mastery — not only understanding one’s own champion, but also the opponent’s.

What ѕнσ¢кed ARMYs even more is that most ranked players usually focus on only one or two main positions in order to reduce the risk of losing games. Yet V is apparently capable of rotating between three of the game’s most difficult roles, demonstrating both his sкιℓℓ and adaptability!
In addition, based on these revelations, many fans have also speculated that V seems to be the “shot-caller” or leading figure for BTS when it comes to the game. That may explain why, during Jungkook’s livestream late last year, V confidently left comments inviting the members to play League of Legends together. When V told Jimin, “Jimin-ah, let’s set it up like that and play a LoL (League of Legends) match,” but Jimin responded, “Ah, it sounds good but… I’m so bad at this… It’s a bit embarrαѕѕing to show this to ARMY.” V reαѕѕured him, saying, “You have a hyung here, Jimin-ah,” while Jimin added, “You’re good at this game.” V even promised to help Jimin reach Gold rank and suggested that the group return to playing as a five-man team like they used to.
With V’s latest revelations, fans cannot help but be fascinated by yet another side of his diverse talents:
- That's crazy to play all three of the hardest role, especially jungler.
- I have no idea about this game at all but ik those must be pro gamer type of levels
- Kim Taehyung really out here flexing across every lane in League. Juggling 3 roles is incredibly hard
- The jungler is universally considered the most important role in League of Legends. While every role is necessary to win, the jungler dictates the entire pace of the early-to-mid game and has the highest impact across the map. He just got hotter
- The concept of taehyung being a top laner, mid laner and JUNGLER he is so fcking hot and smart
- Picking jungle when that’s literally who carries the game and is the hardest role too oh taehyung you’re so ѕєχy for this
- Playing Top, Mid, and Jungle confidently is honestly insane. Taehyung must have incredible game sense and mechanics
- No wonder the members trust V so much in LoL. Being able to handle three of the hardest roles says a lot about his sкιℓℓ
- Taehyung reaching Diamond and flexing between Top, Mid, and Jungle? He’s genuinely a hardcore gamer
