V Admits to ARMYs at Foxborough Concert That He Didn't Know BTS Had This Song

BTS performed at Gillette Stadium for the first time on August 5, marking the first and largest K-pop concert ever held at the iconic Mαѕѕachusetts venue. Around 65,000 fans packed the stadium, creating an electrifying atmosphere as they helped BTS write another milestone in the group's career after a three-year hiatus from full-group activities due to military service.

As one of the first K-pop groups to achieve truly global success and break records for attendance and revenue worldwide, BTS continues to redefine what is possible for the genre through this mαѕѕive stadium tour!

During the concert, BTS delivered a 23-song setlist featuring numerous tracks from their latest album, ARIRANG, including "Hooligan," "Aliens," "Swim," and "Body To Body," alongside the iconic нιтs that established their global fame. In particular, during the surprise song segment, the DJ υиєχρє¢тє∂ly played two older BTS songs, "No More Dream" and "Paradise," exclusively for the Foxborough au∂ιєnce. However, it was also during this segment that one hilarious moment involving V caught fans' attention across social media.

According to a video that has been going viral on X, the moment the opening notes of "Paradise" began playing, V immediately looked confused, as if he couldn't remember what song it was. The idol kept looking around the stage with a bewildered expression and even turned toward fans, waved his hand dismissively, and said that he didn't know this song. V's genuine reaction, mixed with his adorable cluelessness, immediately sent the crowd into laughter.

In another video, as his singing part drew closer, V could be seen concentrating on the melody, trying to catch the rhythm and gradually remembering the song. Interestingly, he eventually did figure it out and went on to deliver his part smoothly and flawlessly, as if his earlier "goldfish memory" moment had never happened.

Interestingly, V wasn't the only member who froze for a moment. Many fans also noticed that Jungkook had a similar reaction when the opening beats of "Paradise" started playing. The youngest member also took a few seconds to recognize the song before quickly catching up with the performance.

Meanwhile, in complete contrast to the reactions of the two younger members, SUGA appeared to have the song completely under control. He flawlessly rapped his entire verse throughout the performance, leaving V so amazed that after the song ended, he exclaimed, "The lyrics though... how does Yoongi hyung know it? How did you know? No, how did you know?" In response, SUGA simply laughed softly and replied, "Just... by memorizing them roughly."

The amusing moments surrounding the performance of "Paradise" at the Foxborough concert quickly spread across social media, sparking a wave of humorous discussions among fans, with comments such as: "God Tae why are you so cute", "Taehyung’s brain was working overtime trying to find the lyrics", "Even when he’s struggling to remember, he’s still adorable", "he’s really out here fιgнтing for the lyrics, luckily he finally remembered", "Their struggle to remember Paradise is too adorable", "Now that even the unicorn LTB and Paradise are out to the world.... DJ PLAY HEARTBEAT I DARE YOU",...

In fact, this isn't the first time BTS members have forgotten one of their own songs. About two months ago, when "Louder Than Bombs" υиєχρє¢тє∂ly played during the Munich concert, Jungkook had a similar reaction as he struggled to recognize the song. More notably, this was actually the second time Jungkook had forgotten "Paradise." Around five years ago, during his birthday livestream, when fans commented "Paradise," Jungkook looked puzzled and asked what song it was. A similar situation also happened during the same livestream when fans asked him to sing "Heartbeat."

This partly reflects the enormous music catalog BTS has built over more than a decade of their career. With hundreds of songs—many of which have rarely been performed live or haven't appeared on stage for years—it's completely understandable that the members sometimes can't immediately recognize a melody.

What makes the story even funnier for fans is that when the ARIRANG tour first kicked off, several members had expressed concerns that they wouldn't have enough songs to continue performing two surprise songs every night throughout the tour. They even joked that after three or four months, they would have already gone through all of their older songs. Yet moments like V not recognizing "Paradise" and Jungkook previously forgetting both "Paradise" and "Heartbeat" have proven the exact opposite.
