BTS made an impressive return to Chile after more than nine years, bringing Estadio Nacional to life with explosive performances and the enthusiastic participation of over 60,000 ARMYs. In particular, the surprise belated birthday celebration that fans prepared for Jimin moved the idol to tears. The pαѕѕion and heartfelt support of Chilean fans left a deep impression on BTS from the very first shows.

Notably, a video capturing the BTS members laughing uncontrollably after their performance of “IDOL” quickly went viral on social media.

In the video, BTS can be seen making their way around the stadium’s track during “IDOL.” What caught fans’ attention was that, despite looking completely exhausted after singing and walking around the stadium to hype up the crowd, the members were still grinning from ear to ear as if nothing could be funnier at that moment.

Given the enormous size of Estadio Nacional, the members had to cover a considerable distance while the music continued playing. As the video circulated online, some ARMYs suggested that the stadium’s running track was simply too long. The venue was so mαѕѕive that no matter how long the members kept going, the finish line still seemed out of reach. The longer they walked, the longer the music played, leaving them laughing in a mixture of disbelief and helpless amusement.

One ARMY who attended the concert in person also shared: “One of my favorite moments yesterday was their lap around during IDOL. They took their time and were just so happy, and since the stage was massive, it took them forever. The poor DJ had to repeat the ending part a thousand times LOL it was amazing! You could really see how much they were enjoying themselves.”

However, another fan offered a different explanation that also seemed plausible: the audio. This fan posted a video recorded from a phone screen during a fan’s TikTok livestream at the concert. The audio sounded as though it was coming from the in-ear monitors (IEMs) that BTS members wear while performing.

The members’ extended ad-libs, which sounded particularly funny during this performance, could also be heard clearly. The fan wrote: “This is what the members were hearing in their in-ears, that's why they were laughing at Jungkook and the noises he was making.”

She further explained that the members may have burst out laughing because Jungkook was imitating another meme when he kept saying “Let’s go,” attaching the original meme video as well.

Whatever the explanation, fans found both theories convincing, and it may well have been a combination of the two. They were simply delighted to see BTS having so much fun despite being utterly exhausted after running around, performing, and hyping up the crowd. The moment showed just how much the local au∂ιєnce’s enthusiasm had energized the members and kept their spirits high. Under the viral video, fans couldn’t stop sharing their reactions: 

- Aaah this could be it. That's why jimin was laughing sm. We know how him n jk like to recreate memes lmao but also I saw some tweets saying the DJ kept repeating the last part of idol bc the stadium was so big n that's why they laughed sm. They're so silly

- The BTS: Have we arrived yet? Staff: Not yet. BTS: Have we arrived yet? Staff: Not yet. They must be very tiring but ARMYs’ loud cheers kept them energized

- It is rumored that they are still running around. My idol video lasts 7 minutes 30. In Argentina, they're gonna have to go around twice because it's super small

- It's because the stadium has a TRACK AND FIELD track! They had been going with the 'Ohohoho / ooooo ohohoh' ending for like 7 minutes and still hadn't reached the end. The chillest one was Yoongi since he runs marathons LOL

- After running like 80 km they were exhausted. Both possibilities make so much sense. They’re so funny

- Maybe they'll be on carts tomorrow. I think the reconfig of the stage added abt 2 miles more cardio per night per member
