ARMYs are well aware of the existence of BTS members’ siblings, but there isn’t much information or photos about them since most of them are not active in the entertainment industry — except for j-hope’s sister, who is a well-known KOL. Still, being the family of some of the biggest stars in the entertainment industry, BTS’s siblings inevitably draw curiosity and attention from fans.

Over the years, the BTS members have rarely shared photos of their siblings in order to protect their family’s privacy. Rarely — but not never! Luckily, there are moments when they feel safe enough to tell fans stories about their siblings or post a few photos with their families.

In the past, there was a memorable time when RM generously shared a cute story about his younger sister, showing their close and adorable sibling bond. Although the post was later deleted by RM, quick fans managed to save and spread it as a beloved anecdote.

RM’s sister’s name is Kim Kyung Min, and she is the same age as Jungkook, born in 1997. In some of her publicly available photos, Kyung Min appears sweet and innocent, with many facial features resembling her brother.

Since they are not too far apart in age, Namjoon and Kyung Min used to fιgнт and bicker frequently as kids, just like any other siblings. There was even a time when the idol “got back” at his sister by taking every umbrella in the house on a rainy day, leaving her without one to use when going out to play.

But later on, their sibling relationship became so heartwarming that fans couldn’t help but admire it — especially when the K-pop superstar proudly shared Kyung Min’s academic achievement on Twitter. That was when Kyung Min received the news that she had gotten the highest score in English for an exam.

When Kyung Min found out her result, she immediately texted her brother, who was working away from home: "Lulu lulu~~~ I got first tier for English!!!! I’m oppa’s sister that you can be proud of. You can brag about me now."

Naturally, RM was surprised and couldn’t stop praising her hard work. He replied: Oh, yah, how did that happen? I’m proud of you. It was worth calling you yesterday. Guess you’re pretty for the first time in a while?" Kyung Min then thanked him for his words.

And just like Kyung Min said, her brother was so proud that he immediately shared the news with millions of global fans. The funny part is that RM later had to quickly delete the post with a short explanation: "I will erase it, just in case, for my sister’s image. All the test takers, you’ve worked hard. It’s cold out so be sure to dress warm."

Even though RM only shared this rare glimpse of his sister for a brief moment, it was enough to show how much he loves and cares for her. Many fans admitted feeling jealous of Kyung Min for having a world-famous brother who is so gentle and thoughtful. Some even nicknamed RM the “nation’s big brother”!

This moment also allowed fans to understand RM’s warm and considerate personality on a deeper level. Seeing the Kim siblings’ bond portrayed so sincerely created a sense of closeness between BTS and their fans.
