Living together in a dorm is an indispensable rite of pαѕѕage for K-pop idols, and BTS is no exception. The seven members spent nearly a decade living under the same roof, creating countless precious memories along the way. Even now, despite owning their own homes and being able to afford separate rooms in luxury hotels whenever they have schedules, they still occasionally choose to share a room so they can joke around and chat with one another.
Because of that, there's no doubt that the members have become completely accustomed to living together and generally get along well as roommates!
On the other hand, the main character of this discussion—RM—is often known as the group's emotional pillar and an exceptional leader. He has also repeatedly demonstrated his healthy lifestyle through habits such as reading books, appreciating art, and working diligently. In theory, living with RM shouldn't be difficult at all.
In reality, however, there is one member who was decidedly "unhappy" about the idea of living with the leader. In fact, he flat-out said "No, thank you" when asked if he would like to share a room with RM. That member is none other than SUGA!
What's particularly amusing is that SUGA and RM were among the very first members to live together in BTS's early dorm days and have been roommates longer than anyone else in the group. Despite that, SUGA admitted that RM is the member he fears living with the most. His answer left many people laughing, but his reasoning was so convincing that nobody could argue with it—not even the person he was talking about.
Specifically, SUGA explained, "Whenever Namjoon is near me, it feels like my life would shorten" because RM can "destroy anything he touches." He also added that RM constantly creates chaotic real-life situations that leave the members in ѕнσ¢к. Fans couldn't help but chuckle in agreement with SUGA's statement, considering RM is famously known by the nickname "God of Destruction."
As proof of SUGA's claim, fans often bring up an old YouTube video titled "Us, Ourselves, and BTS 'We' Photoshoot Sketch." Although it was simply a fun photoshoot, RM still managed to showcase his destructive abilities, and the victim happened to be SUGA. In the video, SUGA was holding a long tube filled with colorful paper confetti. Overcome with excitement, RM threw a ball at the tube with considerable force. Somehow, however, the ball bounced back and α¢¢ι∂єитally нιт SUGA directly in the face.
Fans also believe that SUGA was not only one of RM's frequent victims but often the person tasked with cleaning up the aftermath whenever RM's clumsy side emerged. On one occasion, RM reportedly damaged so many items around the dorm that SUGA—who was usually the one repairing things—finally reached his limit. Frustrated, he openly expressed his annoyance, which led to a major argument about how to deal with the chaos in the dorm. The situation escalated to the point where the two began throwing clothes and pillows at each other like children.
The argument only stopped when j-hope, Jimin, and Jungkook rushed into the room. The funniest part came afterward. Upon seeing just how furious j-hope was, both RM and SUGA immediately apologized to him for turning into a battlefield the neatly folded clothes that he and Jimin had spent hours ironing and organizing. In the end, the two members had to refold all of the clothes together and make peace with each other.
After experiencing all of those incidents while living together, SUGA eventually arrived at the conclusion mentioned earlier, leaving fans laughing and commenting: "Please protect Meow Meow!!!", "Hes just an oversized baby trying to have fun. However, fans also know very well that SUGA's remarks were simply playful teasing and humorous complaints about his leader. In reality, no matter how much he jokes about being afraid of RM, SUGA has always accepted the power of the "God of Destruction" and lived peacefully alongside him.
