Two years ago, on September 17, 2023, fans still vividly remember SUGA sitting in front of the camera in a wнιтe T-shirt and a ѕтяιρed shirt, bidding farewell to fans ahead of his official enlistment on September 22. At the time, he smiled and gently promised fans, saying,"Everyone you don't need to cry! We'll be meeting in 2025 right?" and "It's a pity that I can't do anything for myself. It's been two years, but we still promised soṃệẗḧing in 25".

Over the more than two years that followed, SUGA almost completely disappeared from social media, just as he had said he would until meeting fans again in 2025. Even after returning from military service, he only appeared in group photos and a joint live broadcast with the other six members, and shared just two photos on Instagram. As a result, fans’ longing for him only grew deeper and more intense.

Finally, on the 28th of this month, SUGA personally reunited with fans for the first time through a surprise solo Weverse Live broadcast that lasted about 30 minutes. The live broadcast, which came after 833 days, deeply moved fans around the world. Seeing SUGA appear on screen—fair-skinned, looking healthy, with long, softly curled hair, and as calm as ever—sent fans into a frenzy of excited screams.

During the live broadcast, in addition to meeting fans himself, SUGA also introduced a special new member for the first time: his three-year-old black cat, Seoltang, a new addition to BTS’s beloved lineup of pets. The cat repeatedly meowed and stayed close to him throughout the broadcast. According to SUGA, Tang is a mixed-breed cat, so he is quite large and long-bo∂ιєd; the male cat weighs about 6.4 kilograms.

Notably, SUGA also shared Tang’s background, explaining, “Tang’s father is a street cat, and Tang was born all of a sudden, so I brought him in.” He further clarified, “I didn’t buy him. Someone I know suddenly had about six kittens born. The father is a street cat… so suddenly six kittens were born.”

When talking about Tang, SUGA could not hide the affection of a true father toward his son, praising him by saying, “Tangie is quite smart… he keeps opening doors on his own… he goes out if I just close the door,” and “He’s very kind… he lets me trim his nails pretty easily too, and he’s super gentle.” He also shared that Jimin, aside from himself, adores Tang as well: “Jiminie adores him a lot. Tangie shows his belly to him and stuff. Jimin has a cat allergy, so he has a hard time.” SUGA added that his parents also love the adorable cat.

He then went on to share more amusing stories about his beloved “son,” such as, “Tangie likes being petted on his chin and butt… he doesn’t seem to hate having his belly touched that much. Right, people say cats don’t prefer bells, but he doesn’t seem to mind,” and “Tangie is a biscuit-making machine… he does it a lot. He makes biscuits on my belly, but also on my armpit a lot too, while lying down.”

At this point, SUGA’s deep affection for his cat completely filled the screen. His natural and detailed stories made fans smile, as it was clear that Tang is not merely a pet, but has become a very important part of SUGA’s life. In fact, around November 2022, fans had already suspected that SUGA had begun raising a black cat after it partially appeared by chance in a screenshot he posted while cheering for Jungkook’s performance at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
