The actress was initially regarded as having potential early in her acting career, taking on supporting roles in the acclaimed film The Handmaiden and later in notable dramas such as More Than Friends, Once Again, Be Melodramatic, and Hold My Hand.

However, since 2019, she has repeatedly embroiled herself in various personal scandals. Song was “named” in connection with the ѕнσ¢кing Burning Sun controversy and accused of involvement in illegal business due to her prior employment there. Yet the most notable controversy revolves around her repeatedly hinting at a romantic relationship with Jimin since the summer of 2022.

Notably, in most of her livestreams, Song Da-eun has spent roughly half the time “clarifying rumors,” “pleading with others not to fabricate stories,” and portraying herself as the victim, despite having done nothing wrong.

This pattern mirrors her behavior over the past three years. She has previously gone on livestreams, cried, pointed to ARMYs as the source of defamatory rumors, and even declared she would take legal action against them. Yet all fan speculation began with hints that Song herself shared. In her most recent instance, she even posted a video featuring Jimin, further complicating the rumors.

It is worth noting that Big Hit Music’s official statement on August 31 reads: “The artist and the individual mentioned previously were in a romantic relationship in the past, but that was many years ago, and they no longer have any relationship at present.”

This means that even though their relationship ended long ago, Song Da-eun has repeatedly brought it up over the past three years to draw attention, and when exposed, she turns around and criticizes fans. Fans question the credibility of someone who thrives on controversy calling others “low-clαѕѕ” and holding them responsible for causing her “hurt.”
