Jungkook and Mingyu have long been known as one of the most famous best-friend pairs in the K-pop industry. Mingyu is also one of the friends Jungkook mentions and interacts with most frequently on social media.

Most recently, when Mingyu appeared at the Simmons Pop-up event with his head shaved close in preparation for his military enlistment, Jungkook seemed so excited that he kept reposting photos and reels of his best friend. Notably, he also repeatedly called Mingyu “bal∂ιє,” with increasingly hilarious captions such as: “zoom in bal∂ιєee”, “simmons bal∂ιєeeee”, “handsome bal∂ιєee”, “chestnut kim mingyu”, “mingyu baldddddddddd”, “mingyu baaald”, “minggyu baaaaald”..., sending social media into a frenzy and leaving fans thoroughly amused.

During a live broadcast with fans later that evening, Mingyu also burst out laughing as he brought up Jungkook’s “spamming campaign.” He told fans: “Should I call Jungkookie? How many reposts will he do! I woke up in the morning & kept receiving notifies, he must’ve keep forgetting he’s a big superstar”. And true to his word, Mingyu actually called the “BTS superstar” afterward to “complain”!

As soon as the call began, Mingyu teased Jungkook by calling them both “Buzzcut.” He then asked Jungkook how to leave a comment on a reposted post and bluntly asked: “How long are you going to keep doing that?” However, Jungkook immediately dodged the question by asking in return: “Ah, did you finish mixing it? Is it tasty?”, quickly steering the conversation toward Mingyu’s Jjapagetti.

But Mingyu clearly wasn’t giving up yet. After Jungkook introduced himself by saying, “Hello. I am Jungkook of BTS”, Mingyu immediately delivered the finishing blow: “I mean, how long are you going to keep doing that under the name of BTS?” He then added, “Too... too many people are seeing it. You should stop now”, leaving Jungkook with no choice but to awkwardly laugh and promise: “Okay, I'll stop”.

Their interaction quickly spread across social media, making fans laugh as they got to see Mingyu “scold” his best friend for the first time. In the context of their conversation, Mingyu’s words can be understood as soмєтнing along the lines of: “Yeah you’re the BTS Jungkook, you’re super famous for how long are you going to keep reposting my bald head for everyone to see please stop.”

It could also be interpreted as: “You're such a big star, how long are you going to keep doing these childish antics as someone from THEE BTS.” However, one thing that should be made clear is that there was absolutely no negativity behind his words. They were all said in a loving and playful way between two mischievous friends.

Meanwhile, after their little round of teasing and complaints, the two became serious again as they talked about the convenience of having a buzzcut. Jungkook pointed out: “Man, it's so convenient. Now you don't even have to dry your hair”, and Mingyu nodded in agreement. The two then naturally chatted about their schedules, their timing, and Jungkook having just returned after working out.

Notably, before ending the call, Mingyu also thanked Jungkook for all the reposts, saying that thanks to him, “people all over the world know I have a buzzcut now”. Jungkook continued teasing him, saying that fans were calling Mingyu a golden kiwi because of how he looked.

Fans absolutely loved the way the two idols bounced off each other, and the interaction once again showed just how close they really are. Fans couldn’t help but admire their friendship and gush:
