Celebrities are often regarded as extraordinary individuals with fame and immense influence. They are loved and admired for their talent and achievements. However, fame also comes with a significant price: sacrificing part of their privacy and personal freedom. For BTS—one of the biggest music acts in the world—that price has been even steeper, as the members have repeatedly fallen victim to stalking and invasions of their privacy over the years.

Recently, RM made a remark that once again shed light on the reality BTS has been facing. Although it was only a brief comment while talking about his own life, the BTS leader's words quickly sparked widespread discussion among fans, especially as the group is currently in the midst of their ARIRANG world tour.

Specifically, during an interview with the YouTube channel Fashion Neurosis, released on July 22, RM was asked about his pαѕѕion for art and when he first developed an interest in visiting museums while on tour. Before answering the question itself, the BTS leader reflected on one of the biggest challenges of touring as a member of BTS, saying: "On tour, sometimes you just can't go out because there are a lot of fans and its really hard to be on your own."

RM then went on to explain that his love for art actually began thanks to a suggestion from V during BTS's 2018 world tour. At the time, aside from shopping, he had very few ways to relax during the short breaks between concerts.

While many fans were delighted to learn that V was the one who introduced RM to the world of art, others focused on a different part of his story—his admission that he couldn't simply go out alone or freely enjoy the cities they visited. To many, those remarks further reinforced the reality that even as global superstars, BTS have little privacy when traveling, rarely getting the chance to experience the cities they visit, even during their limited downtime between performances.

RM's comments quickly became the center of heated discussions among fans, particularly as debates surrounding the members' privacy have continued throughout BTS's European leg of the ARIRANG World Tour.

During stops in Brussels, Belgium, Munich, Germany, and Paris, fяαи¢є, large crowds gathered whenever the members were spotted in public. Some people even filmed them during their personal time around the city and widely shared the videos online despite repeated requests from ARMYs to delete the footage and stop following them.

The clips showed crowds constantly trailing and recording the group wherever they appeared, leaving the members with virtually no privacy throughout the trip. Most recently in fяαи¢є, locals followed BTS to the Eiffel Tower and even an amusement park. Some individuals even pressed their cameras against the glαѕѕ of an elevator to film the members, prompting V to cover the window with his hand.

Adding to the problem, hundreds of people gathered outside BTS's hotels at several tour stops, often remaining there throughout the day and night. Fans repeatedly crowded the area, shouting the members' names whenever they entered or exited the hotel, creating such disturbances that V previously took to Weverse to express his frustration directly.

V wrote: "I am incredibly grateful for your warm welcome, but if possible, I would highly appreciate it if you could refrain from coming to the front of the hotel." He also sincerely explained that he did not want to reveal where he was staying because doing so directly affected his physical condition for performances. "While on tour, having time to visit good restaurants, walk down the streets, and comfortably enjoy the country is deeply precious to me. I hope no one comes to the hotel in the future. Please show some consideration," he ever emphasized.

Following RM's interview, discussions surrounding BTS's privacy once again erupted across social media. Much of the criticism was directed toward those who filmed and uploaded videos of the members during their private time. Many argued that people who continuously follow BTS, record them without permission, and post the footage online should not be considered genuine fans.

Others also rejected claims made by some uploaders that the members "didn't seem bothered," arguing that RM's comments clearly illustrate just how difficult it is for BTS to enjoy even a moment of solitude while on tour. Many expressed hope that RM's remarks would encourage more people to respect the group's privacy throughout the remainder of the tour.
