Normally, when thinking about BTS’s pillars, people naturally point to RM as the leader who has steered the team for nearly two decades, or Jin, in terms of daily living, as the oldest member who looked after everyone since their trainee days. Yet, what fans imagine differs from how the members actually live. During a chat with Epik High, RM and SUGA caught everyone off guard by pointing out the group's biggest emotional anchor.
The conversation kicked off with a mix of lighthearted humor, intriguing revelations, and thoughtful discussions about music, life, and friendship. For instance, when asked about their time at a songwriting camp in Los Angeles, RM recalled a hilarious late-night clash: "We fought. We were drinking, and I said 'Let's tidy up the place,' then Jimin said 'Hyung, shouldn't you not talk to Taehyung like that?'—and that's how it started." Beyond the laughs, both BTS and Epik High opened up about distributing their profits equally, with the BTS members candidly acknowledging their massive earnings.

From those candid stories, the dialogue gradually shifted toward a more intimate topic: the dynamics of their relationships, specifically who they trust and rely on the most during difficult times. RM brought this up by pointing out how SUGA often views Jimin as his ultimate "emotional support teddy bear," jokingly adding, "Every time after dance practice, he’d ask Jimin, ‘Want to go to the sauna together?’”
Continuing the discussion, SUGA shared that during their time in Los Angeles, he had a very enjoyable experience largely thanks to Jimin’s presence. When Tablo asked whether Jimin was the person he was closest to, SUGA answered honestly: “When Jimin was having a really hard time, I kind of pulled him out of it because he was digging himself deeper.” He also admitted that he sometimes goes through similar struggles himself, and that the two of them have always been there for each other.
When Tablo concluded, “So he was the friend you leaned on mentally?”, SUGA nodded in agreement: “Yes, we’d stick together.”
It wasn’t just SUGA—RM also surprised the Epik High members by revealing that the person he relies on the most is Jimin as well. Tablo exclaimed, “Wow! Jimin is basically a hub.” RM agreed and humorously added, “You know in dating shows, there’s always one person who gets all the votes? Jimin is kind of like that.”

These revelations once again highlight Jimin’s special role within BTS—not only as a talented artist but also as the group’s emotional anchor!
In fact, this is not the first time BTS members have described Jimin as the most mature and thoughtful member, even after more than a decade since their debut. RM once stated, "I have a lot of respect for Jimin. He's the most adult in our group in a way". Meanwhile, SUGA said of his “emotional support teddy bear" that: "I'm not a talkative or funny person, but I get along with Jimin because he's so good-humored and mature."

j-hope also shared, "Jimin is my dongseng (younger brother), but sometimes I feel that he's my hyung. He likes to joke around, but the way he thinks is mature." He further praised Jimin for his “big heart and emotional maturity,” noting that Jimin helps him relieve stress during difficult times.
Similarly, Jin has often complimented Jimin, calling him a source of positive energy who takes care of the members during exhausting tours. Despite being one of the younger members, Jimin consistently demonstrates remarkable maturity. V considers him his “best friend,” while Jungkook has acknowledged that much of the group’s emotional balance comes from Jimin’s warm and thoughtful personality.
Ultimately, maturity is not solely defined by age or experience—it reveals itself through quiet empathy and an instinct to protect those around you. Jimin is a perfect embodiment of that. And in seeing how the members openly praise one another, fans cannot help but feel deeply moved by the genuine bond they share.
