Jungkook is famously known as the "Sold Out King" because anything he touches either sells out almost immediately or attracts enormous public attention. This influence extends far beyond consumer products and into the food industry, where restaurants often become overnight hotspots after just a single visit from the idol. ELLE кσяєα recently even published an article introducing four restaurants in Busan that Jungkook had visited for fans who wanted to follow in his footsteps.
At the same time, Jungkook has never stopped receiving praise for his "heart of gold." Despite being one of the world's biggest K-pop stars, he consistently treats restaurant staff and business owners with kindness and respect. On numerous occasions, Jungkook has happily posed for photos with restaurant owners or left behind autographs as special keepsakes.
However, not every establishment appears deserving of that kindness, and the case below has left the ARMY community outraged!
Recently, Jungkook visited Itaewon Teppan, a נαραиese-style izakaya restaurant in Seoul. After his meal, the singer uploaded a short video to his Instagram Story showing some of the dishes he enjoyed. Not long afterward, the restaurant owner also shared a photo revealing that Jungkook had left him an autograph on a card. The photo was taken at the very table where the BTS member had just finished dining.

However, fans' excitement quickly turned into discomfort when another video involving the restaurant owner began circulating online. In the clip, the man appeared to be eating leftovers from Jungkook's meal after the singer had already left the restaurant. The video was accompanied by joking captions that read: "Why are you eating what Jungkook ate?" and "Clarifying it's Jungjun, not Jungkook. He's literally having the time of his life." The restaurant owner's expression, along with the laughter and teasing comments from staff members heard in the background, suggested that they found the situation highly amusing.
Many ARMYs expressed disgust over the clip, arguing that eating someone else's leftovers and turning it into social media content is inappropriate, regardless of whether the person involved is a celebrity or not. Others directly criticized the restaurant owner for being disrespectful toward Jungkook. The idol had even gone out of his way to leave him an autograph, yet he was allegedly treated in such an undignified manner the moment he walked out the door. Many fans also questioned how Jungkook would feel if he were to see the video himself.
The clip continues to circulate across social media platforms and has become the subject of heated debate within the fandom, with comments such as:
- Why did the owner of the restaurant that jungkook shared today shoot such a video? Eat the leftover food from jungkook and make a video to share it on ig? What are you doing? Jungkook even left an autograph. Why don't you respect him?
- While it is generally considered disrespectful and unhygenic, this man is clearly older than Jungkook. JK is a frequent patron, familiar with the staff. I would be careful to judge my culture lightly. Your concern, outrage, is out of love, and this is your opinion. Respect
- And he even kindly left an autograph... that's so disrespectful to Jungkook. I hope Jk will never see this video or go back to that restaurant
- People seriously can't seem to respect Jungkook's boundaries. Sasaengs constantly stalk him and wait outside his home, and now a restaurant owner has even eaten his leftovers. The obsession has reached an absurd level it's ¢яєєρу, disgusting, and honestly beyond unacceptable
- Eating Jungkook’s food leftovers is odd but as restaurant staff it’s so much more weird omg
- Completely unacceptable behaviour by a restaurant and highly unprofessional, please do not promote such establishment who lack common decency. Jung Kook was aiming to have fun outside not expecting restaurant to take pics, videos of the leftovers
- Jk obviously wasn’t impressed with the food because he never leaves that much food behind. Also that is completely messed up. A restaurant owner eating a customers left overs. Gross!!
- Disgusting behavior. Never trust an owner who treats his customers like that. If this is what he's willing to do in front of a camera without any shame, imagine what might be happening in the kitchen when customers aren't watching. Absolutely disgusting
- EXCUSE ME?!?!? Ate the left over food that jungkook had?? What is wrong with this man?? And posting it on social media shamelessly..this is so disrespectful and disgusting..why would they treat jungkook like this? This is нєαятвяєαкιиg
