The warm welcome that Peruvian ARMYs and local residents have given BTS during the group’s visit to Lima cannot be overlooked. From renaming a section of Calle Sacramento in the Surco area “BTS Avenue” for one week to illuminating popular tourist attractions in the group’s signature purple and organizing special light displays and a welcome drone show, the city has made considerable efforts to celebrate the group’s arrival.
However, these heartwarming gestures have done little to ease growing concerns over the repeated invasions of BTS’ privacy since their arrival in the city.
Crowds have gathered outside the group’s hotel, screaming and shining laser beams at windows believed to belong to the members’ rooms. Vehicles carrying RM and Jungkook have also been surrounded and blocked by crowds, with people filming them and demanding that the windows be rolled down so they could see the members. Such inconsiderate behavior has continued over the past few days, leaving fans increasingly frustrated, especially as the artists themselves have had to make direct pleas for people to stop.

Adding to the outrage, ARMYs have recently uncovered another disturbing incident: footage of BTS undergoing security checks upon arriving at a Peruvian airport was allegedly leaked by airport staff.
Several videos and images circulating on social media show the BTS members going through security procedures and having their pαѕѕports checked as they entered the country. Notably, the video quality, camera angles, and setting where the members were standing suggest that the footage came from cameras installed in the airport’s security screening area. Accessing, extracting, and distributing such footage would seemingly require access to the surveillance system, raising concerns that airport staff with access to it may have leaked the material online.

After discovering the footage, ARMYs expressed intense anger. A major fan account spoke out, stating: “Filming BTS during airport security and pαѕѕport checks is unacceptable. Sensitive procedures and personal information must NEVER be exposed for online engagement.”
These concerns have become even more serious as the members have reportedly faced severe ∂єαтн threats on social media in recent days. Releasing footage of security procedures or exposing private information is particularly sensitive under these circumstances and could increase potential risks to the artists’ safety.
In response, ARMYs have urged fellow fans not to share or amplify footage of security checks, close-up images of documents or screens, or any related content. Fans have also been reminded to report violating posts instead of reposting, quote-posting, or spreading the material further.
ARMYs are also calling on HYBE and BigHit Music to take responsibility and strengthen measures to protect the artists. They have further urged the relevant authorities to investigate the incident and take action against any staff members found to have violated regulations.
Discussions among fans on social media surrounding the incident are now gaining considerable momentum:
- Under Peruvian aviation and national security regulations, airport screening areas are clαѕѕified as restricted security zones. And who leak this? Please investigate this matter
- What is this?? They're even leaking airport security camera footage?? The high altitude in Peru definitely isn't letting their brains develop 100%
- HYBE needs to sue that airport and make whoever leaked those images take full responsibility. Isn't this a violation of company privacy policy????
- At this point, the level of harαѕѕment they're facing feels surreal. How in the absolute fck is it possible for airport security footage to get leaked?
- The whole situation is honestly disturbing. The obsession with BTS members has gone way too far when people think it’s acceptable to share CCTV footage and violate their privacy just to feed their own delusional narratives. They’re real people who deserve safety and respect.
- This is a total invasion of their privacy! WTF is wrong with people? I seriously hope they NEVER come back to Peru!! Do NOT share it, report it instead!!!
