Many Fans Are Fooled By Recent Posts From “Jimin’s Brother“ Instagram Account Despite His Dad's Previous Warning

Becoming a celebrity doesn’t just mean your private life will be under public scrutiny — even your family members, though not part of the entertainment industry, can attract immense curiosity from the public. That’s also why Jimin has always tried to keep his family life private. But of course, it’s impossible to completely prevent information from leaking out!

On the other hand, taking advantage of the public’s curiosity, malicious individuals have come up with various ways — including fabricating or spreading false information about the BTS members’ relatives and families — to draw attention or manipulate public opinion. Even worse, they use such мєтнods to damage the reputation of the idols and their loved ones.

Jimin and his family, particularly his younger brother, have been victims of this severe impersonation issue for years! And many fans still believe in the so-called anonymous “Jimin’s brother” accounts despite his father’s previous warnings.

Specifically, in the past few hours, several photos have been circulating on social media from an Instagram account with nearly 200,000 followers, whose username closely resembles that of Jimin’s brother, Park Jihyun. The photos appeared to show a meal shared by Jimin and his family in celebration of his birthday.

In one of the pictures, a hand holding a bottle of alcohol even revealed a small “7” tattoo on a finger — the same spot where Jimin has his friendship tattoo.

Furthermore, during a live broadcast yesterday, Jimin mentioned, “I met my family yesterday. My father cooked for me so we all ate a lot together. My father also gave me some allowance, even at the age of 30, I'm very grateful for it. We had a meal and spent time together yesterday,” which made many people even more convinced that the photos and the account were real — that it truly belonged to his brother.

However, the account with hundreds of thousands of followers had already been reported as a fake. In 2022, Jimin’s father made an official statement declaring that their family only has two verified Instagram accounts: @zm_illennial_official and @zmillennial_coffee, warning fans not to be deceived by these malicious impostors.

At that time, Mr. Park discovered that numerous large accounts were pretending to be Jimin’s brother — including one with over 200,000 followers. Although the name and birth year matched Jihyun’s real information, the account owner was not him. These impersonators had been using photos of other people, posting content at carefully chosen times to mislead followers into believing it was Jihyun, and spreading false claims such as him having a girlfriend or working somewhere specific.

It seems that some fans who were unaware of the situation continue to fall for these hoaxes. That’s also why such accounts keep gaining followers — sometimes even more than official KOLs or celebrities. ARMYs are now leaving numerous comments urging fans to stay alert, avoid spreading false information, and not support the actions of those malicious impersonators:

- I remembered that Jimin’s father many times told that Jimin‘s brother don’t have any public accounts and all accounts that pretended to be Jimin’s brother is fake so please don't believe in these accounts

- That can be Ai generated too. Please don't so gullible as to believe these pages without proof.

- If you look closely you will see that the 7 is different

- Creepy — these impersonators act like professional teams: picking the right photos, captions, and timing so well that many people could be fooled

- I’ve never believed in that acc. It looks too fishy for me. A lot of photos looks like has been edited. And jimin’s dad said jimin’s brother doesn’t have an instagram

- I found a photo of this food through Google Photos on someone else's Instagram from 2024.

- They clearly know what to post and when to post it to get the biggest reaction. It’s scary how far some people will go to gain attention. Please ignore them everyone

- These accounts need to be reported and taken down before they cause more harm to the artist’s family

- Jimin dad cafe ig account posted about this guy and said he is not Jimin's brother and Jimin is not affiliated with him in any way. Stay alert, guys!

- Don't spread or dicuss about this, his father already clarified that his brother is not on instagram

- Jimin’s father has officially put statement that Jimin’s brother has no instagram account . And asked not to spread false information . Please respect that .

- Don't share false information okay? Except his family confirm the account belongs to them.
