Episode 5 of Are You Sure 2 aired on December 17, revealing the final intriguing moments of Jimin and Jungkook’s trip to ѕωιтzєяℓαи∂. While fans were enjoying the breathtaking scenery and unique travel experiences through the idols’ perspective, malicious dating rumors—having barely ∂ιєd down—suddenly resurfaced once again due to a single, random scene.
Specifically, in the latest episode, there is a scene showing Jungkook in a bedroom, wearing pajamas but with one sleeve not fully put on. The loose sleeve completely exposed his left arm, which is covered in his signature tattoos, while his right arm remained fully concealed beneath the sleeve.
This immediately led a portion of netizens to link the scene to earlier dating rumors involving an alleged matching “three-dog tattoo” said to resemble one on aespa Winter’s arm—a claim that had circulated widely when Episodes 1 and 2 aired earlier this month. Jungkook was accused of deliberately leaving one arm exposed while intentionally covering the other to prevent viewers from discovering supposed evidence of a romantic relationship. He was even criticized for being dishonest and deceptive toward fans.

However, these baseless discussions did not last long. ARMYs quickly uncovered a series of concrete pieces of evidence explaining the real reason behind Jungkook’s unusual way of wearing his pajamas—most notably, a mention made by his personal tattoo artist.
This information originated from a post shared on the personal Instagram account of tattoo artist POLYC on June 16. Notably, Are You Sure 2 was filmed just four days after Jimin and Jungkook were discharged from military service, around June 15–16, making the timing of the post highly relevant.
In the post, POLYC explained that Jungkook’s old tattoos had been significantly damaged, and since Jungkook wanted to wear short-sleeved clothing in the summer, they decided to repair them. As of mid-June, when POLYC shared the update, the work was only about 70% complete. The artist’s original post stated:

This means that at the time Jungkook was filming Are You Sure 2, his tattoos were still in the process of being repaired and were essentially newly refreshed. As is widely known, fresh tattoos require special ointments and moisturizing creams over a period of time to allow the skin to heal properly and the ink to settle. With this context, Jungkook’s decision to leave one sleeve off becomes completely understandable—he had clearly applied tattoo treatment after showering and wore his clothes that way while waiting for it to dry.
Additionally, fans noticed what appeared to be semi-transparent patches on Jungkook’s exposed arm in certain scenes. These resemble protective coverings commonly used for new tattoos to prevent water exposure during the early healing stage. It is also important to note that tattooed skin is generally more sensitive and prone to injury than non-tattooed skin. Jungkook’s right arm, in particular, has undergone multiple layers of tattooing, making careful aftercare even more essential.

Some fans further pointed out that this sensitive area may have been aggravated after Jungkook fell while cycling in Zermatt in Episode 3. Not only his arms, but also his wrists and legs showed visible injuries, with clear signs of disinfectant and wound treatment.

Moreover, Jungkook has never been someone who openly flaunts his arm tattoos, nor is there any logical reason for him to intentionally dress awkwardly in a half-on, half-off manner. If he truly wanted to conceal a tattoo on one arm, he could have simply worn his pajamas properly rather than leaving one sleeve undone.
These evidence-based explanations are far more credible and logically sound than the far-fetched speculations spread by malicious individuals attempting to distort Jungkook’s actions. As a result, many fans believe that the series of malicious rumors targeting him since the beginning of the month are part of a long-term, coordinated smear campaign aimed at damaging his reputation and diminishing public support.
However, such attempts are ultimately doomed to fail. Jungkook has nothing to hide and nothing to fear—the truth speaks for itself. More importantly, he is supported by fans who are always ready to stand by him and protect both Jungkook and BTS with unwavering loyalty.
