Recently, Jungkook has hosted a series of back-to-back live broadcasts over the span of just one week. Each stream lasted for hours and featured a variety of fun activities, such as searching for his name on Kancho cookies, playing games with fans, and singing karaoke. Naturally, these broadcasts captured the attention of fans around the world and sparked a wave of enthusiastic reactions.
While most fans were simply enjoying spending time with Jungkook again after two years without such livestreams, a few others seemed intent on overanalyzing and exaggerating certain moments. At least two clips from Jungkook’s recent broadcasts have been twisted and used to fuel false dating rumors.
One such moment occurred when he opened a box of Kancho cookies—a current trend in кσяєα—to look for his name. Since “Jungkook” wasn’t among the 500 common children’s names printed on the cookies, he chose “Ian” as an alternative name. When he saw a “sensitive” name, he commented briefly: “Ah, this name could lead to controversy, so I’ll skip it.”
However, some toxic individuals immediately speculated that the name belonged to a female K-pop idol he was allegedly dating, or that his reaction revealed a “guilty conscience.” It’s important to note that all of these rumors are completely baseless, with no evidence whatsoever, but these people persist in forcing absurd connections.
Another moment involved Jungkook mentioning “a friend who was watching his live broadcast” and asking him to sing Love You With All My Heart by Crush. Jungkook playfully refused, saying, “I don’t want to. Why should I do that?” while laughing lightheartedly.
Soon after, numerous videos and posts began circulating wildly on social media, claiming that the “friend” Jungkook referred to was a blonde girlfriend, linking the moment to recent dating rumors between them.
Despite widespread backlash from the majority of fans, these toxic individuals continued to flood Jungkook’s public social media accounts, such as his dog Bam’s Instagram and his personal TikTok, leaving malicious comments and tagging posts related to female idols and dating speculation. Apparently, Jungkook noticed how out of control things had become—and he took immediate action.
Recently, fans noticed that Jungkook’s TikTok account has disabled comments, whereas previously, fans were able to leave messages under his posts. In addition, the idol set his following list to private and appears to have turned off the tagging feature altogether.

Many fans expressed relief that Jungkook established these boundaries, hoping he would do the same for his other accounts—especially Bam’s Instagram. Previously, Bam’s account had been targeted by toxic commenters due to unfounded rumors linking Jungkook to another female idol. Because Jungkook’s main Instagram account has no posts where such users could comment, they turned their attention to his dog’s page instead.
ARMYs are now actively discussing Jungkook’s latest move on social media, with many praising him for protecting his peace and drawing a firm line against malicious behavior:
- do you think jungkook doesn’t see the mental illness on tiktok from people analyzing everything he does? he went live for a whole week, bought a camera for us, sang for us, played with us, and all people take from that is dating theories and corny jokes. y’all don’t deserve him.
- Tiktok is the worse I keep getting videos of people saying since hes on his phone hes messaging his gf and they wish they can zoom into his eyes to see the reflection of his phone
- Someone:"I’m an ARMY, but..."Shut that ‘but’ the f*ck up
- People think he is a fanfic so ofc they are desperate for him to have a secret gf that he chats with during a live with us
- It's high time to not involve in their personal lives!!!
- I see 10 shippers making theories about him bringing old stuff like leave him alone. Poor guy can't do anything without people oversnalizing him
- Everything he does gets over analysed by people and he’s suddenly dating the entire industry. Insane.
- Jungkook has changed some privacy settings on TikTok! Hope he'll do the same on IG.
- He still has the comments under his insta story on and some ppl commenting such weird things, idk if he knows about that and I hope he will turn them off as well…
- jungkook limited comments and hid his following list on tiktok… the way he must be so tired of weird people
- instagram next i hope. these people are way too comfortable camping in his comments spitting hate and nonsense
- Real.. people really don't deserve him & his kindness. Of course he sees everything whatever these brainless sick weirdos do. And this is too much. Can't people just leave him alone?? His dating or love life is none of our business please.
- People drive me crazy sometimes. It is not necessary to dissect every word, facial expression or sigh. The fact that he's willing to spend time with us and share so much is frankly amazing considering he's put under a microscope constantly.
