Earlier this month, Jungkook kicked off a series of daily livestreams — each lasting for hours — as he was determined to find the name “Ian” on the trending кσяєαn Kancho chocolate cookie. Finally, on the seventh stream, the Golden Maknae succeeded in spotting the name he had been chasing and announced he would take a short break from streaming to rest after the intense broadcast streak.

On the 16th of this month, the livestream legend finally returned to greet fans in a spontaneous stream at around 7 AM (KST), which lasted for about an hour. And well, this wasn’t the first time he showed up bright and early for one side of the globe. Some fans were jolted awake by the notification, while others joked that they had only slept for five minutes before Jungkook suddenly went live.

But drowsiness was nothing compared to the joy of seeing Jungkook on screen. This time, instead of the gamer look that once shook the internet, he appeared adorably cozy in a black hoo∂ιє, rimless glαѕѕes, and long wavy bangs falling over his forehead. He looked slightly “∂αzє∂,” almost as if he had just rolled out of bed — only making him even more lovable.

What surprised fans even more was Jungkook admitting that he was extremely sleepy but simply couldn’t fall asleep. With a slightly groggy voice, he said: "The reason I turned on a live at this time is that I have to stay up all night. I'm sleepy. I'm sleepy but I shouldn't sleep. I have to endure. I have a reason".

Throughout the livestream, even though Jungkook enthusiastically sang sweet songs for fans, there were still moments when he looked genuinely spaced out from lack of sleep, worrying many ARMYs. Fans began to wonder what on earth made him wake up so early — or what was preventing him from getting proper rest.

Even as he was leaving, Jungkook mentioned: “I want to learn musical style vocal technique too. It’s a wrap up for today. Gotta go now now… I’m gonna go now. You’ve worked hard today guys. Good bye. Have some sleep or good day… Thank you.”

His farewell almost sounded like he was about to pack his bags and head somewhere right after ending the stream. Some fans leaned toward the theory that Jungkook was staying awake to head to the airport, or that he was adjusting his sleep schedule to match a different time zone. Other guesses — like a meeting, practice, or filming — were less convincing, as fans pointed out that he looked far too sleepy to be working.
