On the 27th of this month, Jungkook attended the VIP premiere of the movie “The First Ride”, which stars ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo, one of his close friends. Both idols are members of the famous ’97-line friendship group in K-pop, which also includes SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu, NCT’s Jaehyun, GOT7’s Yugyeom, and others.
Although Jungkook rarely appears at such public events, he made a special visit to support his friend’s new release — showing the strong bond between them. The Golden Maknae drew attention with his rock-inspired look: a black leather jacket paired with silver necklaces and earrings. His handsome, sharp features and lightly wavy black hair completed the effortlessly stylish image.
What amused both the media and netizens even more was that Jungkook didn’t attend the event alone — he brought along “Doll Cha Eunwoo.” The male singer livened up the atmosphere with adorable moments as he playfully teased and joked around with a life-sized doll of his friend on the red-carpet.

The doll had been prepared by the film’s production team as a stand-in for the actor, who enlisted in the military at the end of July. Before Jungkook’s appearance, the large doll had already been used for several of the movie’s promotional events.
However, an interesting story about Jungkook and the “Cha Eunwoo doll” was recently shared by Ha Jiyoung, the MC of the VIP premiere, leaving fans and netizens in αωє of the BTS superstar.
In her post, Ha wrote: “Seeing BTS’s Jungkook holding the heavy doll on stage was so ѕнσ¢кing. My crew and I were discussing whether to use the doll instead of Cha Eunwoo, since he couldn’t be there, but Jungkook asked, ‘Should I carry the doll?’ Our staff stated, ‘Unni, the doll is so heavy that it’s even hard for a grown man to hold it.’ It was so heavy that the staff had to help hold it up during the press conference.
But Jungkook, who attended the VIP premiere, took the doll onstage. Being an event where even holding a small panel could be uncomfortable, he carried that heavy doll like it was nothing on stage and made a perfect exit."

This means that the life-sized doll was not easy to lift for almost everyone, but Jungkook held it effortlessly as if it weighed nothing. Fans pointed out that they originally thought the doll was made of lightweight material because Jungkook looked so natural while holding it and posing for photos — until they learned the truth.
Meanwhile, ARMYs said they weren’t too surprised, since Jungkook is known as “Muscle Bunny.” He’s a fitness and sports enthusiast capable of lifting impressive weights, mastering the lat pulldown machine, and even excelling at boxing — all of which give him incredible strength. His fellow BTS members have also acknowledged their Golden Maknae’s remarkable power.
Still, the sight of Jungkook looking both incredibly handsome and adorably sweet while carrying his “heavy bestie” melted hearts. It was seen as his heartfelt way of showing strong support for his friend’s new project — not wanting Cha Eunwoo to miss a single moment of the premiere:
- He is a strong, incredible, admirable man! It was very precious and adorable how Jungkook supported his friend’s project! Everyone would be rich having a friend like him
- Jungkook is so endearing. His exist being him carrying the doll in bridal style
- Golden friendship, Jungkook being there in the absence of Eunwoo to show his full support, he’s indeed a wonderful bestie
- He can do anything flawlessly, because he is Jungkook
- I think the MC was struck by Jungkook's authenticity and down-to-earth nature. Stepping onto a premiere photo wall is, many a times, focused on crafting one’s visual details, but Jungkook prioritized carrying a heavy life-size doll (of the character his friend played) over it. That shift in priority is what really stood out.
- Besties supporting each other in any way they can
- It’s so funny because he looks like he’s having so much fun.
- I thought it was light because he just lifted it up like it was nothing
- Wow, he must be really strong. But he looks so adorable too. How a person can be like that at the same time?
- I thought it was a light cotton doll…guess it was actually heavy
- JK’s innate character that non pretentious what made him so endearing, no one can replicate when it’s genuinely came from the heart
