Since first appearing in 2019 with a few simple designs including the word “ARMY,” the number “0613” (BTS’s debut date), the BTS logo, and other symbols such as the tiger flower and traditional patterns, Jungkook has continuously developed his right arm with a layered design. This part of his body has become a vivid personal artistic statement.
Not only that, Jungkook’s public admiration for this form of art has significantly helped reduce prejudice against it in кσяєαn society. Instead of viewing it as a sign of rebellion, many people have begun to see tattoos as a way of expressing oneself and preserving sacred memories.
This also stems from seeing how Jungkook combines symbolic tattoos, text, and meaningful metaphors rather than choosing designs randomly or merely for aesthetics. In one conversation, BTS’s youngest member showed his deep thoughtfulness in selecting tattoos by explaining the meaning behind each one, even the smallest.
On that occasion, some fans asked him to point out his favorite tattoo. At first, he seemed a little embarrαѕѕed by the question, but later he openly chose the Tiger Flower tattoo as his favorite pick.
The orange flower tattoo on Jungkook’s arm was done during his earliest days exploring this art form, symbolizing his birthday. He also added that the meaning behind this flower is what makes it the most meaningful tattoo for him.
In кσяєαn culture, each flower carries a symbolic meaning, representing for a person. Based on a person’s birthday, they are αѕѕociated with their specific birth flower. Jungkook mentioned that in the “The Language of Flowers,” the tiger flower means “Please give me love.” “It's both beautiful and painful, so I like it,” he added
One noteworthy detail is that the phrase “Please love me” is also tattooed on Jungkook’s arm, right behind the flower, further reflecting his enduring romanticism. Jungkook’s tattoo and his heartfelt sharing deeply moved fans:
- Jungkook you don't need to ask for our love, we love you unconditionally
- JUNGKOOK is our GOLDEN ARTIST & our ETERNAL ARTIST. JungKook is the reason for our happiness and the reason for my smile.
- words can't explain how proud i am of jungkook

In addition to the tattoos he has had since 2019—which have been retouched multiple times—fans recently discovered that Jungkook has added some new tattoos or recolored some of the old ones. This includes a large tattoo extending from his right arm up to his shoulder and down near his chest, revealed on stage during j-hope’s concert…
Another tattoo that was recolored is the bull on the underside of his upper arm. Once outlined only in black ink, it has now been filled in red.
Previously, Jungkook’s personal tattoo artist, POLYC, mentioned that the recent updates to the BTS member’s tattoos were part of an effort to repair older tattoos that had been seriously damaged, and also because Jungkook wanted to wear short-sleeved shirts in the summer. From this, it can be inferred that there may be even more improved versions of the tattoo artwork on Jungkook’s arm in the near future!
