The internet nearly exploded when fans noticed a user named ‘mnijungkook’ pop up, and realized that he had made a new account, possibly gearing up for future activities on the platform. It felt like a dream come true—soмєтнing no one dared hope for since he deleted his original Instagram in 2023.
Back in February of that year, Jungkook made headlines when he boldly deleted his account with over 50 million followers. He explained the decision on Weverse: “I left Instagram. It wasn’t hacked. During a Weverse Live broadcast not long after, when Jimin casually brought up the fact that the Golden Maknae had made a new Instagram account, Jungkook confirmed with a simple: “Oh, mine? Yeah, that’s right,” then proudly added: “My name is Jungkook— That's right!" The clip of him saying this—with his playful and adorable expression—went viral almost instantly.
Jungkook has always been known for his unpredictably clever ideas when it comes to naming social media accounts. When he first joined Instagram in 2021, he instantly made headlines with the username @abcdefghi__lmnopqrstuvwxyz—a full alphabet мιѕѕιиg just two letters: “JK”, the initials of his name.
