Jungkook Blurts Out His Honest Thoughts On Fashion Week, But ARMY Loves His Candidness

In the early hours of the 23rd, Jungkook held a spontaneous short broadcast with ARMYs on Weverse. This was his first broadcast, one week after returning to South кσяєα from the 2025 New York Fashion Week, which had sent ѕнσ¢кwaves around the world.

Although the event had ended about ten days earlier, the reverberations of his influence were still felt. The media were recently astonished when ListenFirst reported that Jungkook had propelled Calvin Klein to the number one spot in social media engagement during Fashion Week, achieving 12.9 million engagement points.

Notably, these figures represent a 1,168% increase compared to the previous season. Calvin Klein also surpαѕѕed Michael Kors—a brand that had led the previous event with 4.2 million points and had maintained the top position for six years, or twelve seasons.

Stars such as Lily Collins and Emily Ratajkowski from the show Emily in Paris also attended Calvin Klein’s Veronica Leoni collection, but the attention given to Jungkook eclipsed that of the Western celebrities, prompting widespread media praise: “Jungkook’s debut powers Calvin Klein’s revival at NYFW,” “Jungkook’s appearance has placed Calvin Klein at the top for the first time in six years,” and “This is an iconic event demonstrating K-pop stars’ influence on the Western fashion world.”

While the world was going “sensation” over Jungkook’s appearance at the Calvin Klein SS26 show, he himself seemed quite composed, offering fair, personal observations when asked by fans during his broadcast. He was careful with his words but did not hide his genuine feelings.

"How was the show in New York? Hmmm.. hmm, first of all it's my first time being in a show like that, so it was a bit hectic, but I did say what I wanted...? It's not my type... Wait, I can't say that... It was better than I expected but I don't think I enjoy them a lot", he expressed.

He also spoke about the brand’s after-party experience following the fashion show: "The party! Ah there seems to be a misunderstanding.. by "Is this a party?" I didn't mean something like "This is not even a party" or something but more like... "Ah what even is this party?" I had schedule the next day, so I had to leave even before the DJ got started".

This comment immediately caught fans’ attention because of its candidness. Without trying to give flattering remarks, he simply shared his true feelings: attending a lavish, internationally significant event for the first time, meeting many celebrities, encountering many interesting things—but he was overwhelmed and seemed somewhat out of place in the lively atmosphere.

He also could not fully enjoy the after-party due to the tight schedule and feeling awkward at such an event. In several videos circulated online during the event, fans noticed that most of his time was spent taking photos for the press, posing or conversing with other celebrities and Calvin Klein officials, after which he quickly left. Therefore, it’s not surprising that Jungkook shared these feelings.

From his perspective, Fashion Week was not as impressive as the world’s reaction to his presence suggested. He won fans’ hearts through his honesty, authenticity, and relatability:

- Ohh I see. So attending fashion shows is not his cup of tea. He is so honest

- That is the best way of saying he was not into it. It's ok baby we all know what your type is

- Jungkook is Brutally Honest. It's fine he stayed for sometime atleast

- LMAO, he is so real. I also found these shows so boring

- “it’s not my type” LMAO he’s so real i love him so much

- "it's not my type... Wait i cant say that." I FREAKING LOVE HIM. Even if he didnt say it, we know he didn't enjoyed that much cuz he left early and also bc of the "is this even a party" he said for the "after party".

- Why is he not allowed to say that? Just because he’s an ambαѕѕador doesn’t mean he can’t say he disliked soмєтнing right? Especially soмєтнing like a fashion show. Some people like it other don’t

- I like his honesty! I think bts members don’t like fashion events that much

- Usually, celebrities don’t dare speak their minds even if they don’t like soмєтнing, for fear of offending the brand—but he doesn’t. Of course, Calvin Klein fears losing him even more!

- Calvin Klein’s colorful und3rw3ar please him more than parties or fashion shows like that, LMAO—he really is a brand ambαѕѕador who genuinely cares about the customers

- The boys’ sincerity with the fandom is so immense that soмєтнing always slips out, lol. I love my BTS.
