For over a decade of their career, BTS has become a global icon not only because of their exceptional music but also thanks to their famously strong friendship and rare camaraderie in the entertainment industry. Among the members, they are not just colleagues and partners, but also friends and family — learning, growing, and overcoming countless hardships together to achieve the success they enjoy today.
In particular, within the group, any member can become a role model for the others to learn from, and anyone can lead the rest to improve — regardless of age or hierarchy.
At the Golden Live On Stage concert, RM ever did not hesitate to praise BTS’s Golden Maknae: “He’s our youngest, but I learn so much from him,” and even Jimin agreed, saying: “When I look at him doing so well, I always feel respect. I always want to learn from him.”
The same is true for Jin — the oldest member of the group! Rather than resting on his status as the eldest, he continues to diligently learn from his younger members every single day. He even admitted that one of the members inspired his iconic performance during his recent solo tour.
Specifically, in an interview with Weverse, Jin talked about the intro of “Moon” in his RUNSEOKJIN EP. TOUR, which became one of the most beloved parts of his concerts, with each intro going viral in every city thanks to the participation of random fans. Even more surprisingly, this concept was inspired by soмєтнing j-hope had done during his own solo tour.
“I was preparing for my tour while j-hope was there, and I liked how he started Equal Sign with the au∂ιєnce, so I did soмєтнing similar,” he said.
He was referring to j-hope’s iconic moment from his world tour, held just a few months before Jin’s. In that performance, j-hope would often step off the stage, hold the hand of a lucky fan, and then begin singing the song.
This kind of intimate interaction and energy-sharing inspired Jin to create a unique and memorable way to open his own concerts. More than that, it deeply reflects Jin’s personality and the special bond between BTS members — constantly learning from, adapting to, and supporting one another even in their solo activities.
Writer Aton Hur once touched on this aspect of Jin in relation to the other members: “By default, [in кσяєαn culture], he (Jin) should feel the most entitled. He should feel like he's the biggest deal. But he doesn't feel that way. He has all of the responsibilities of being the eldest but, at the same time, he doesn't seem to enjoy the privileges of being the eldest [with] that feeling of security… It is so easy to slip into a sense of deep entitlement when you become successful… But for Jin — and for BTS, in general — they went in the opposite direction. The more successful they got, the more humble they became, and the more critical they became of how they did things. Not in a self-hating kind of way, but in a way that you can tell that they're constantly questioning themselves, looking at reach, and trying to reevaluate what success means to them.”
Right after the interview was published, social media was flooded with compliments and heartfelt reactions from ARMYs:
