Specifically, on the 5th, the official Instagram account of ZM-illennial, the café operated by Jimin's family, posted an important notice stating that the ZM-illennial Coffee & Bakery Store and the MAGNATE Clothing Store are entirely separate and independent businesses. Although the two shops are located right next to each other, they have no affiliation, partnership, or operational relationship. Customers are advised of this to avoid any confusion or misunderstanding when visiting either store.
According to the notice, a clothing store has been operating under the name "Magnate" while using a logo nearly identical to that of Jimin family's former brand. "Magnate" was the name used by the family café from its opening until it was rebranded in August 2024. Due to the similarities in both the name and branding, many customers and ARMYs mistakenly believed that the clothing store was also operated by Jimin's family.
However, through the latest statement, Jimin's father made it clear that the two businesses have absolutely no connection whatsoever. The notice is also being viewed as a public warning regarding a brand that appears to be taking advantage of public confusion in order to attract attention and benefit from its perceived αѕѕociation with the family of the BTS member.
In fact, this is not the first time Jimin's family has faced issues related to the Magnate brand, and it was also the reason why the café ultimately changed its name.
