On October 13, fans around the world joyfully celebrated Jimin’s 30th birthday. This was his first birthday since he and the BTS members completed their military service, so fans were eager to see the fun things they usually do every year—like posting never-before-seen photos and hosting live broadcasts.

And indeed, they lived up to fans’ expectations. j-hope was the first to share shirtless photos of Jimin from BTS’s beach trip in the U.S. two months ago. V followed by posting a funny old selfie of the two, while RM revealed a moment of Jimin sleeping in the car, seemingly during their time in the U.S.

Meanwhile, the birthday boy himself—Jimin—finally appeared in a live broadcast that lasted about an hour. His appearance made fans emotional, as it had been more than two years since he interacted directly with them in this way.

Unlike in previous years, this time the setting wasn’t HYBE headquarters decorated with colorful balloons, banners, or a birthday cake. It was just Jimin, dressed casually, sitting at home and chatting live with fans.

He shared that the broadcast took place right after he finished recording: “I went for the album recording today, and came home and ate, then… I didn’t sleep well last night, so I slept for about 30 mins? And then came (here).” He added, “I’m not usually the type to celebrate birthdays, so…”

Some fans asked if he and the members had celebrated his birthday together, to which Jimin explained: “No, I haven’t met the members, everyone’s busy with recording and album stuff.” But that didn’t mean they missed his special day. “I did receive wishes from the members, they called/texted and everything,” Jimin clarified.

It seems that during this period, Jimin and the other members have been putting all their effort and pαѕѕion into working on the new album set to be released next spring. Even though BTS started working on it right after completing their military service, they haven’t had much time to prepare, so it’s certain that their schedules have become even busier than ever.

Their hard work deeply moves fans, as the members are racing against time to reunite with ARMY as soon as possible—just as they promised!

Fans also understand that, beyond group activities, each member has countless personal schedules and commitments every day, making it difficult for them to gather or meet up often.

Of course, they must have their own way of celebrating birthdays—it’s just that they don’t make it public. As Jin once said, the fact that they don’t post about their get-togethers or birthday wishes on social media doesn’t mean they’re distant; on the contrary, their relationship is incredibly close and strong.

Meanwhile, Jimin also mentioned that yesterday, he spent time with his family after his busy schedule: “I met my family yesterday. My father cooked for me so we all ate a lot together. My father also gave me some allowance, even at the age of 30, I'm very grateful for it. We had meal and spent time together yesterday,” he shared.

Everyone understands that free time for global superstars—especially top K-pop idols like Jimin who just returned after a long break due to military service—is truly rare. At least he managed to rest and heal with his parents during this special occasion, which warmed and reαѕѕured fans’ hearts.

When asked about the progress of the album they’re working on, Jimin sincerely shared his thoughts: “Hmm, how do I say this… Yes, it’s been going smoothly, everyone’s working hard and all, and just like I’ve mentioned before, I think we’re just nervous, excited and all since we’re not sure how you guys will react to it.”
