On the 9th, BTS officially kicked off the first night of their “BTS WORLD TOUR ARIRANG” at Goyang Main Stadium. Even before the show began, the overwhelming scale of the event was evident in the endless stream of ARMY stretching from nearby subway stations all the way to the stadium gates. However, the concert had to face a major challenge as the weather conditions turned extremely unfavorable, with heavy rain pouring continuously and temperatures dropping significantly. Large puddles forming on the stage floor raised serious concerns about the risk of slipping.

Despite this, the BTS members proved their status as top-tier stars by maintaining bright smiles until the very last moment. Even while completely drenched, they showed no sign of wavering in their performance, pushing forward as if “cutting through the water,” perfectly embodying the spirit of their title track “SWIM.” In response, more than 40,000 fans on site created a breathtaking scene with a sea of purple raincoats and the shimmering lights of ARMY Bombs.

However, the higher the expectations, the more varied the public reactions became. After the first night of the ARIRANG World Tour, mixed opinions surfaced on social media. Some fans expressed disappointment with the setlist, wishing to hear more older songs. Others pointed out that out of the 23 tracks performed, only three featured fully choreographed routines, which fell short of expectations for BTS, often regarded as “performance masters.” In addition, the stage smoke being too dense also drew considerable criticism.

But those who expressed such negative reactions might have felt “embarrαѕѕed” afterward if they watched Jimin’s livestream on Weverse Live following the concert!

In a clip capturing a moment from the broadcast, many ARMYs noticed that Jimin’s hands appeared red and were visibly trembling, even though he had already dried his hair, changed into warm clothes, and was sitting indoors. This was partly the result of being soaked in the rain for over two hours in low temperatures cold enough to see one’s breath. Other fans suggest that it was also partly a sign of anxiety and pressure, caused by people complaining about the performance.

Even as the shivering from cold and exhaustion had not yet subsided, he still took time to meet fans, hoping they would understand: "It rained so much. This time, we went out of our way to try a new type of production, even if it meant cutting back on some dancing, but there were parts—like the pyrotechnic smoke not clearing well—that were disappointing. Because of the weather, there was no wind, so while the smoke usually disappears quickly when we appear, it didn't happen this time. I feel a bit sad about things like that."

He even worried about the fans more than himself, expressing that: "I feel sorry for those who might have caught a cold or felt chilly, and I am so grateful that you came. You must have been really tired and exhausted" and "As long as those who came had even a little bit of fun, that’s all that matters. Then I’ll be able to sleep peacefully."

At this point, ARMYs could not help but feel heartbroken for their idol and became deeply frustrated seeing criticism directed at the group despite their efforts under such difficult conditions, responding:
