The close friendship among the members of BTS has always been one of the aspects most highly praised by fans—and even by the general public—especially because it has lasted for over a decade. Among these bonds, the admirable friendship of the “95z soulmate duo,” Jimin and V, stands out in particular. From their grueling trainee days to their remarkable global success, the two have always stood by each other’s side. Their long journey together has been filled with countless sweet memories as well as untold “embarrαѕѕing” stories.

Recently, during an entertaining conversation, Jimin “exposed” an embarrαѕѕing story about V that left both BTS and ARMY unable to hold back their laughter. It was one of those very ordinary, everyday moments that fans found especially delightful, as it revealed a different side of the idols—soмєтнing that cannot always be seen on stage.

The story dates back to their trainee days, when Jimin and V earned a small amount of money by working as backup dancers in a few music videos. For trainees, that money was both precious and meaningful, so Jimin decided to use part of it to treat himself to a pair of pants and invited V to go shopping with him. And what followed soon became history.

Jimin recalled, “During trainee days, I bought pants with Tae for the first time. From the money we got from appearing as dancers in MV’s. I saved up and got pants and Tae said, 'It’s so pretty' and i bought it. They were a bit tight, so I was like, 'Aren’t they a bit small?' but he kept saying, 'No, it’s pretty!'"

Trusting his close friend’s enthusiasm and glowing praise, Jimin fully believed him and decided to spend his hard-earned money on the pants. However, the real tragedy began when the two returned to the dorm. As soon as Jimin put on the new pants to show them to the older members (the hyungs), he was immediately met with a harsh reality check. The BTS members expressed their confusion in unison, saying, “Why did you buy it?"

While Jimin unsure how to explain himself, the overly enthusiastic “advisor” from earlier—Kim Taehyung—suddenly made an υиєχρє¢тє∂ turn that left everyone stunned. V casually added, “I told you not to buy it!” When Jimin reached this part of the story, the BTS members burst into laughter at the youngest-but-one member’s witty and comically two-faced reaction. Meanwhile, V, sitting beside him, could only laugh awkwardly, scratching his nose in an attempt to hide his embarrαѕѕment at being “called out” so directly.
