Among all the BTS members, Jimin is often teased by both the members and ARMYs as being the “biggest crybaby,” because he’s frequently seen crying in front of fans. However, one thing many people overlook is that in countless behind-the-scenes moments — when he struggled with throat issues, was sick, or exhausted — he never shed a single tear.

This clearly shows that Jimin is not a “weak” or “overly emotional” person as the playful jokes suggest. In reality, he’s a strong young man who remains calm and collected no matter the situation. Jimin himself has repeatedly stated that he is not a crybaby.

His tears only fall for a reason. And if there’s one thing that truly overwhelms him emotionally, it’s BTS and ARMY. He has admitted that his feelings overflow and he simply can’t hold back when he sees the love ARMY gives to the group.

Even RM once said that the thing that makes it hardest for Jimin to hold back his tears is ARMY. RM even described that Jimin’s mind is completely filled with thoughts of BTS and ARMY: "Jimin’s head is 99999% filled with the fans and BTS".

Nearly 99% of the emotional breakdowns fans witness from Jimin happen in front of ARMY — whether at concerts, award shows, or even online stages. Anyone could easily name five random moments when Jimin sobbed in front of his fans.

For example, Jimin cried during the Love Yourself: Speak Yourself Tour concert in вяαzιℓ because he was moved by hearing ARMY sing along. During the same world tour at Rose Bowl, he cried when saying goodbye to the au∂ιєnce after the show.

At the Map of the Soul ON:E online concert in 2020, Jimin broke down during his ending ment when talking about not being able to see ARMY face-to-face due to ¢σνι∂-19.

When BTS won “Artist of the Year” at MAMA 2018, Jimin spoke about their hard times, their efforts alongside ARMY, and by the time he got to the thank-yous, tears were streaming down his face.

When BTS нιт No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the very first time with “Dynamite,” Jimin cried for three straight hours — overcome with happiness, мιѕѕιиg the fans, and wishing he could perform for them.

He always runs to the far ends of the stage, even to areas with no lights or cameras, after every show just to make sure he doesn’t miss a single fan. He used to wear a necklace with “ARMY” engraved on it every day until he ℓσѕт it — and he was heartbroken about it.

Whenever he gets the chance, Jimin doesn’t hesitate to pour out heartfelt words to ARMY, which always leaves everyone emotional. He once said:
"Sometimes people ask me what I think I’ll be doing in 5 or 7 years. I honestly don’t know what I’ll be doing… But I want to be here. I want to be together with everyone, I want to be happy. I want to make a lot of good memories."

Especially when ARMYs told him that as BTS became more and more famous, they feared the gap between them and the group would grow. Jimin said: "Don't think that we are getting further and further apart. It is you who have put me where I am today. So hearing that makes my heart hurt."

To Jimin, every ARMY is the same — they are the ones he wants to be with most. Even when writing on the wishing tree, Jimin left a message that read: “Go to the end of time with my fans, the ARMYs”.
