j-hope brought his Hope on the Stage concert to the SM Mall of Asia Arena for two nights on April 12 and 13.
“It’s such a long time since I last visitd Manila, Philippines, and of course, it's beyond my expectation,” j-hope said with the help of an interpreter during the opening of his two-day concert.
A grand stage was set for a grand artist who gave his all for the two-and-a-half hour performance, leaving fans singing, dancing, and experiencing all kinds of positive energy throughout the night.
Eight years after BTS’s Wings Tour in 2017, j-hope returned to Manila to perform, and it was a legendary tour. A week after the concert ended, fans are still talking about the memorable moments from that day.
In particular, on SNS, a video recording the moment the Philippine flag - one of the projects that PH-ARMYs prepared specifically for j-hope's concert - went viral. In it, j-hope's reaction made fans extremely excited.
Specifically, the video recorded the scene where j-hope was preparing to appear on stage for his performance. At the same time, fans sitting in the stands created a giant flag from the light of their phones, making him laugh out loud in impression and amazement.
It is known that The Philippine flag event at the Manila concert was very cool. The event was completed by attaching different colored stickers to the cell phone lights. For the event, almost all the au∂ιєnce members had to receive colored stickers at designated places and turn them on at designated times before entering.
It is very difficult for all the au∂ιєnce to do the same. But the Philippine Army did all of this with the heart of cheering for j-hope. Therefore, not only j-hope but also other fans were moved by the careful preparation of the Philippine fans.
The enthusiastic support and great love that fans here have for j-hope is clearly perfect for his choice to stop in Manila for the first leg of his Asia tour.
